So, following the theme of Phil Daly's thread, I thought it would be a pertinent question given I'll be over there from Dec 7th -> June 30th.

To be more specific (rough dates)

Brazil - 28th Dec -> 7th Jan: (Sao Paolo/Rio/Florianopolis) Only really there for NYE. Any games played over this period?
Argentina - 8th Jan -> 23rd Jan: (Buenos Aires/Rosario/Cordoba/Mendoza) really want to suck in the culture in Argentina. Definitely need to see a game
Chile - 24th Jan -> 30th Jan: (Santiago/Valparaiso) any advice?

Other countries are Peru and Bolivia, which I won't have time to see a game in anyway.

From my experience some sort of package involving tickets and transport are the best way to go.

Football over there costs a pittance to attend relative to Britain and you can get a bus to pick you up from your hotel lobby and take you back there when the match finishes, which is good if you are seeing a match at La Bonbonera or San Lorenzo where the surrounding streets aren't safe. The extra cost taken into account still makes it cheaper than watching Everton at Goodison.
