I have a 91 Hyundai Excel Sprint hatchback that is slowly dying a horrible death. So much so that I left it in my driveway and bought a 125cc scooter. It is now out of rego and pretty much out of luck to be driven by me again.

There have been many problems with this thing from fuel pumps to the cooling system and pipes but the main problem now is some kind of internal engine crack that leaks oil faster than the Exxon Valdez.

I have been told it would cost me in the order of $1000 or more to fix so hence my reluctance to try. The model and year on the market looks to be selling for anywhere between $2500 and $3500 but it aint worth that.

I was thinking of selling it to a wreckers but have been told they give rock bottom dollar. Maybe a car yard that can fix it up might take it. Any suggestions?
