Some might say the best is a best of a bad bunch but I think there is one standout performer this year, Anthony Hudson. He actually brings excitement and real passion to his calling unlike most of his fellow callers. Channel 7 finally did something right by pinching him off 3AW.

Now to the worst, wow now this IS tough but I think for an all round shocking performer it has to go to Ian Robertson. This guy is sooo boring, he must have photos of somebody important to be keeping his job.

One more thing while he's not a caller I wish Dipper would fall into a deep hole, I just can't stand his stupid antics on the sidelines.

Dipper needs to get some speach lessions. That guy can't speak proper English.

I can't understand why channel 7 have him on there payroll. Also, what's the point of a boundry rider. I'm sure the commentator's can tell us whose coming on and off the bench.

The Ball,

Of course there needs to be a boundary rider because he doesn't just tell us whos coming on and off but give us other info as well such as:

*How serious an injury is to a certain by going to a teams bench
*Anything about an incident that may have happened on the ground

The first point is really important because lets say if one of your best players went off the ground with what looked like a serious injury wouldn't you like to know how serious that injury is? The commentators cant provdie that kind of information.

Cometti the best?.... well that's ambitious!!!
He should never be allowed to call west coast games, but ok doing two other teams.
Sandy Roberts that other dick-head Cambell and that tart from Brisbane are by far the most inept trio I have heard.
It helps when calling a game to have some knowledge of the opposition side, that silly bimbo was saying how Leppa(don't you love knick names being used by commentators....NOT) was off for a bit of a rest and a Fremantle player was being carried off on a stretcher behind her, to which she had a glance then a second look and made the profound statement, "a Fremantle player has been injured"

My favourite two are Denis Cometti and Kevin Bartlett.

I love KB's comentary style. He thinks about the game a lot like I do (not the playing of the game, but outside factors), which is why I like him. KB will always say something that is based on common-sense and logic. He is also a great student of the history of the game.

Denis Cometti has a great voice and he has a great dry sense of humour which I enjoy listening to.

I don't particularly enjoy Dermott Brereton becasue he turns the art of calling footy into a 4th year University course.

Bruce annoys me too, becasue he trys to artificially stimulate interest. Nothing wrong with that, but he trys way, way too hard.

I like Dennis Cometti, Kevin Bartlett, Anthony Hudson and sometimes Jason Dunstall only if he isn't commentating with Dermie.

I hate Bruce, Dermie most of the time and Robbo is ok sometimes. I hate some of Blighty's comments sometimes too.

Personally, I like Dipper. He is funny sometimes and is just a good boundary rider. So is Richard Osbourne but not Vic Carthew.

I hate Blight he thinks he is the be all and end all of football. He thinks he knows more about the game than anyone else in history and isnt even interested in others opinions cos there obviously wrong cos there not his opinions. What an idiot thats why its so hard to watch Talking Footy.
