Had to post a new topic cos for some reason it won't let me reply under the other one, but anyway.....what does everyone think was the best Wrestlemania??

For me it's gotta be Wrestlemania 3. No doubts about it.

It had some legendary matches that will be remembered forever.
The Hogan V Andre match, Steamboat V Savage, Piper and Beefcake shaving Adonis' head, JYD V Harley Race, King Kong Bundy Vs Hillbilly Jim when Bundy squashes one of the short people...the matches were awesome.

I havent seen it for years and I still remember most of it...

Apart from WM3 I reckon a lot of the WMs have been a bit of a let down. They were all good, but none overly outstanding. I didnt see the last one so I can't really comment on it. WM 10 was fairly good, the Owen Vs Bret match was cool and the ladder match with Michaels and Ramon was legendary but the main events were shit with luger, yoko and Bret.

Out of the Royal Rumbles the 1990 one when Hogan wins sticks out in my mind the most for some reason, it was predictable but memorable.

Starrcade 98 was prob the best WCW ppv I saw.
Goldbergs first loss and some of the other matches were fairly good.

What does everyone else think>?

The best Royal Rumble was 1992. In this rumble, the title was vacant, so there was no title match taking away two superstatrs from the Rumble, like most years since.

Every major WWF superstar was in the Rumble, which was won by Ric Flair after coming in at number 3 !

Mty favourite Wrestlemania's are 3,4,10,14 and 17

The 92 Rumble was good with Flair winning.

Ive enjoyed some of the King of The Rings.
93 and 94 where Bret and Owen win were both fairly good.

King of The Ring 98' was an awesome PPV with Kane winning the title in a first Blood Match against Austin and Foley taking that bump off the top of the cage- Awesome!

Another top PPV was the Survivor Series 98 (I think), the one where Rock screws the fans and sides with Vince and the Corporation.

Overall, the best pay-per views Ive seen have gotta be...
1. Wrestlemania 3
2. Survivor Series 98
3. King Of The Ring 98
4. Starrcade 98
5. Bash at the Beach 99 (I think) the one where Russo screws Hogan
6. Survivor Series in Montreal, just because of how much controversy surrounded it...

A lot of the ECW ppvs were outstanding as well.

Wrestlemania 3 is without doubt the greatest wrestling event ever!!

Dan was the 92 Rumble the one where the last three wrestlers were Sid Vicious Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. If i remember correctly although i could be way off but Sid tricked Hulk and got him out while Flair was pretty much unconcious on the floor. Hogan was furious steaming around the floor of the ring kicking things and saying stuff to Sid, then he seemed to forgive him and offered his hand to shake. Sid obliged and Hulk pulled him out and over the top rope leaving Flair with the win.

I think thats the one, but what a great ending, in todays wrestling you dont see good stuff like that.

That was the 92' Rumble.
I dont know if you don't see anymore of that stuff anymore, it's just that it's always happening and the event becomes less memorable because these days stuff like that happens all the time.

Wrestling has changed since then, some say in a good way some in a bad, its really upto the individual.

how much of a beating did Ric Flair get in the Royal Rumble that he won???

every time someone new came in, theyd warm up by giving him a bit of a beating...

that was the best royal rumble ive ever seen for sure, :)

Wrestlemania III - Ricky Steamboat vs Randy Savage. One of the greatest matches ever.
Yeah i don't like to go back and watch old classics , prefer to remember them in my own way but i've watched this match multiple times.
Not the longest or most dramatic match i've ever seen but it truly is a masterpiece.

Mickie James vs Trish Stratus probably the best remembered match that year. Such is the importance of character and storyline.

Edge vs Mick Foley is the absolute pinnacle of WWE

Wrestlemania III - Ricky Steamboat vs Randy Savage. One of the greatest matches ever.

Apparently savage was completely obsessed with getting it down move for move perfectly.
They went over it many a time according to steamboat, who still is in great shape for his age

Love how they picked a current rock (lower case) or similar song throughout the late 90s and 2000s but 2006 had 80s Peter Gabriel as the theme haha
