Hahahaha, “he cleared space, tackled (once), halved contests and made sure he had a man on him”

Surely you see the remarkably low bar you’ve set for him, he had an all time bad game against vfl standard team.

He’s been remarkably poor this year and when you have 2 disposals and a tackle it comes down to being an effort problem as well as a talent one.

Should be dropped.

Sure…love to be able to carry him back to form.

Amiss being the biggest of our problems is a good position to be in.

Yes, I suppose imagine having the King brothers father-son back in their draft year. Not really fair. Will be interesting to see how he develops. We can really afford to move Marra on at the end of this year. Just need to try and get 5 games in with form for his value to up during trade week.
Worst case scenario end of first rounder for JUH, best case he get on the park kicks 3 a game and you get a top 10 pick

And yeah, it is akin to the King brothers both going to the same club. Legit cheat code. If he is 205cm+ this forward line will be borderline impossible to manage.

Treacy the highest rated KPF in the AFLCA votes, and by some margin.

End thread.

But back on topic, Darcy is a freak, if he stays fit and healthy good luck stopping him in a year or 2. He is clearly the pick.

Tilthorpe looks bloody good from the little I see of him.

And Treacy is bloody good too. Very happy to have him.

Not sure who comes next, they are clear top 3 for me.

Treacy 3rd by a long way, doesn’t have the strings to his bow the other two possess. TT and Darcy haven’t gotten to play Richmond/wce yet.

Darcy the best for sure, but Treacy's got plenty of extras and definitely not a "long way off". Easily the best field kick of the lot, likely the best defensive player of the three too, also the most accurate over the last year or so. Pretty good ruck but I'd give that to TT and Darcy, same with ground game. The other area I feel he excels is footy IQ; great forward general and he's responsible for quite a few outside 50 shots going through due to goal line shepherds etc. Not really seen too much of that from Darcy or TT (not that it's essential for KPF) but definitely adds something for mine.

Take the goggles off, Darcy and TT are elite field kicks for KPF’s. I’d have a significant gap between the top two and Treacy and that’s not a slight on Treacy. The other two seem generational players in the making.

2020 Draft

Ollie Henry - 110 goals.
Riley Thilthorpe- 73 goals
JUH- 103 goals
Logan Mcdonald- 93 goals
Errol Gulden- 63 goals
Josh Treacy - 85 goals

Not a key forward but Ollie Henry has done pretty well when compared to some emerging stars from the same draft.
No one is taking Ollie Henry ahead any of those players.

No goggles here, trying to be objective. Treacy is legitimately likely the best field kick at Freo (including Young). No hyperbole here, he's an elite field kick for any position, let alone KPFs. I see the gap with Darcy; potentially he's a monster, and I've said as such, but honestly don't see it between TT and Treacy. I'd have them on the same level currently, again not saying that won't change with time.

Morris is an elite field kick too. Lil' guy can go! :')

Tell me you've never watched Treacy without telling me you've never watched Treacy.
His field kicking is a thing of beauty. This is a seriously odd attempt at providing a point of difference for TT and SD. He's going at 80% efficiency FFS. Darcy is at 65%.

Treacy is the one I’d say could handle a wrestle with Weitering, May, Pearce types

Also deceptively athletic

He is 3rd but agree it isn’t a huge gap

Sorry Shueygod I didn't realise you were responding to a comment about field kicking, not bringing it up as a point of difference. But still, I don't think there's anything rose tinted about saying he's the best field kick of the three.

Morris wouldn't need to wrestle, he'd just play 4D chess with Weitering and kick a bag 😎

Nah, as long as they are winning he won't be, nor should he be.

Plus, Voss has just got 3 weeks and LJ isnt back for a few also.

JLs 3 bigs up forward will make it tough for him to ever be dropped.

And clean out his bank account ….

…. Again

By the time Morris is done with KPD, he's signed them up to a dodgy crypto, taken their shoes and bought himself a Big Mac and Frappe to go with his bag of goals.

Some blokes I know quite well did a lot of stuff with Logan as a junior and couldn’t speak more highly of him, said he’d debut early and keep his spot

I said “yeah yeah whatever campaigner”

I wasn't familiar with Logan when we took him. Reading his draft profile & watching his highlights all seemed to indicate he could be an elite second tall. The big drawback was his height, but that was it. Think plenty of clubs looking for the next Darcy underrated the impact a high IQ, high skilled and contested marking KPF can have even if they're a few cm shorter than you'd like.

Has beaten plenty of good KPD in marking contests this year.

He’s not much shorter than Curnow and he’s had two Colemans

I reckon a lot of clubs will look for freaks like Darcy but very few will replicate his ability

Ollie Henry is more threatening than Shannon Neale for instance

Darcy is just stupidly good. Great in marking contests, elite ruck, elite kick. Harris had him covered when it came to fitness and running out the game, but sweet Jesus imagine when he has another preseason or two. He's so young.
