clearly you guys haven't been in the same position to know he's speaking the truth. If you did, you wouldn't hate.

But hey good luck with that. I'm sure it's cool losing.

Have fun.

I used to be a TAB operator. I couldn't have cared less what you were betting on. Good on you if you're a winning punter. Whether you win or lose doesn't affect TAB operators. The "shakes" of the head wouldn't have been as a result of you winning. Some TAB staff may not be thrilled about counting out multiple $50 notes, because it takes time. There wouldn't be $9,000 kept in the cash registers, so they would have needed to take out money from the safe. The safe is set to a five minute timer, and after those five minutes you only have 60 seconds to open the safe before it locks again (and then the process would have to be repeated). On busy nights, you can't just stand around waiting for the safe to open. There are customers to serve at the bar, whether they're ordering food, drinks, or both. There are customers to serve in the TAB. If there are late scratchings, you have to attend to them usually as a matter of urgency, so it's very easy to miss the safe in that 60 second window. This may have explained some of the frustration from staff that you experienced.

As far as them counting out 18 bundles of $50 notes - I don't know why you would think the look they are giving you is because you have done something wrong. That one I can't explain. Some TAB staff may get anxious if it is busy and there are several customers waiting to be served while they're counting out $9,000 to pay you out.

How long ago were u operating? Isn’t it anything 1k and over they wrote you a cheque now

Have you tried chatting to TAB staff (agency that is) it's not the most hospitable environments & you might get a smile in return.

That is in gaming. Anything over $999.99 won on a gaming machine was required to be paid out in a cheque.

I worked in a TAB up until 2013 and I never paid anyone out in cheque.

That would be a ridiculous concept, FWIW. If you have over $1000 in your TAB account and wish to withdraw that money, they would have to pay you in a cheque. Yuk! As if you wouldn't just wthdraw money in multiple transactions, each under $1k if that was the case, anyway.

On a tab ticket I won a little over a grand and they said because it’s over a grand they had to do a cheque, this was back in 2014

If you go to the same TAB you get to know the people who work there. As for big collects I get the worker to count it out the back and put it in an envelope for me. It is stupidity to get a heap of cash counted out at the counter. Who knows who is watching.

I guess I should make an anonymous thread detailing the clear outline of my niche market sets to an unknown volume of people to regain your faith in me.

I withdrew 2.5K cash from the local a few months ago without issue. That was from the TAB account though, not sure if it's the same. The only restriction they told me was making sure they had enough cash on hand

#humblebrag

I work at my local casino (Tas) the max cash on a pokie is 1000, anything else comes in a cheque. But when it comes to sports (UBET) we have a limit of 3k in cash. Last season I received a few big 4 figure bets but one stands out of $25k on an AFL game, albeit short odds. The only catch is there's a max bet of $9999 so the bloke had to nervously put through 3 seperate tickets without the price changing. Price didn't change but the funny thing is the best lost. Different operators have different procedures. If the bet won, there's a max cash payout of 3k per ticket so he would of had to have 3 seperate cheques. Which imo is fine compared to not getting big bets on at most online books.

When I used to work at Crown as a gaming machine attendant the highest I paid out in cash was $19k. That was in the high rollers area, had to go find the bloke to give him his cash as he'd disappeared off chasing the winning machine and wasn't concerned about the cash itself.

Why did the OP go crazy here with this alias? More and more of us are getting limited by sports betting companies, will there be laws for sports betting minimum bets like in horse racing? why dont we protest and do like a bet free monday where no one bets anything

Sick of everything tilted in their favour and Australian govt doesnt help. Why cant we place live bets online? Phone calls take too long

I am not the OP btw...

Don't bet so big and make gradual gains and you wont get banned .I've been banned from a few like crown, sportsbet ubet but all others are ok..tsn legends with the amount of bonus bets they give that you can turn into real cash

How on Earth are you banned from Ubet? I am limited on some sports with them, but I consider them to be second best to Topsport for highest limits.

By banned, do you mean they shut down your account, or do you mean you have been excluded from promos only?

As I said I am not OP...just reading in all the threads how everyone is getting banned...I got promo banned by Ladbrokes last year and sportsbet this year. All my bets with ladbrokes, crown and sportsbet get referred to a trader...a couple a months ago I kept trying to place the same $400 dollar bet at sportsbet and trader must of get pissed off and did sth to my account as now I can only bet $55 max bets and stuff

Just had a look at top sport...never used them before...layout of site looks very similar to Ladbrokes
