Text message screen shots usually give rumours less credibility IMO. Anyone with a phone can make it up.

The way it was weirdly specific (babysitting, SANFL) and the perfect level of footy-player-bogan... I believed it at first. The hoaxer did a good job. But they falsely impersonated someone, possibly committing slander and inciting harassment.
