Roast Bevo pull your ******* head in

Interesting the last question in Clarkson's presser today. Acknowledged Hodge's comment that Clarko needs people around him to challenge him, and said a senior coach making decisions alone will make mistakes. At Hawthorn, he had Fagan, Bolton and others, and said every major decisions was a group one.

Now no one on here really knows what goes on behind closed doors - there is a perception that Bevo rules everything. Clarkson intimated ALL coaches have people in place to save themselves from themselves. So who are the equivalents at VUWO - Grant surely? But who are the other people at our club who have a voice in decisions, and a voice that is listened to equally with Bevo's? I'm not trying to pot Bevo here, just keen to know (and likely won't until he's long gone from the club) who has recognised input into tactics, selections, match day, etc)
Yeah it’s a good question, not that there’s anyway of us finding out unfortunately.

Bubbas been around a long time but geez he doesn’t strike me as the type does he?

Would hope that’s Grant, but he’s very quiet on the public front - not that there’s anything wrong with that if he’s doing his job.

There just doesn’t seem like any strong characters around the club, Bevo aside

Will be an interesting off season that’s for sure

Great question, hopefully the club carries out an external review and it would be damming. Think Grant and Bains are too soft and are just on the gravy train with Bevo and there be only an internal review carried out by themselves and Bevo

Even the sub decision needs to be explained.

Should a forward go down, West can play forward but could also come on in a midfield role too if a mid went down. Has a bit of x-factor too and is as hard a cats head.

McComb can only play a mid role and has no x-factor (like, at all) to influence a game. Unless that x-factor is most likely turning the ball over.

How to score against this side?
One of you get goal side of our defenders.

A week out from possible finals and Beveridge shows the whole footy world that he can swing Darcy forward to kick a couple. Smart move, Bev.

Coulda been worse...we coulda lost the game....and u wouldn't have to be rocket surgeon to work out that that was a possibility.....

Looks like another missed finals the year after a GF.

Incredibly poor year from him. Something similar next year and he needs to go.

If we need to rely on Roarke Smith playing out of his skin in a must win game to maybe play finals …. Surely something isn’t right

We need new coaches new ideas and different structure…

Difficult decisions need to be made to improve

If we go into next year only adding Liam Jones to our kpd stocks I don't think I can watch.

Our back line is a mess and Cordy should not be on our list next year.
