Now this week we will definately see what North are all about. The Swans in Sydney will
be a supreme test that North really needs and with Boomer and hopefully Carey & Martyn back, don't expect an another embarrassing performance. I feel this week things will be said that will hit home and the fury and anger will be unleashed on the SCG.

Run Riot Roos 2001

I'm with you there MO-less man.

There is NO WAY this will happen 3 weeks running. I think the Sydney BOO-A-ROO campaign is a blessing in disguise.

The three strong likely "ins" will be the greatest difference, also that King couldn't play that badly two weeks in a row. At least that means three non-performers will be pushed back to the seconds to earn their spots back.

Strange how I should log on and find this topic. I was about to post that I woke up this morning with a gut feeling that we're going to roll the Swans this weekend.....

I watched the Sydney Shit-tanks vs the West Coast Wally Woofters yesterday on the idiot box, it was interesting to note that although the Shit-tanks were in control most of the game, it was when Stafford and their other Ruckmen were taken out of the game the Woofters made them look an average outfit.

I reckon to beat the Shit-tanks we will definately need huge games from Spider, Petrie and Corey in the ruck so we get first use of the ball. Otherwise it could be another 10 goal drubbing.

2 rounds down 20 to go - Roos Premiers 2001!

I'm almost certain Eade will use Stafford as a forward to try to exploit our supposed lack of height in defence. McKernan was used in a negating role on Jason Ball in one of the earlier finals in I think 1995, and should be tried there on Stafford.
Corey has played ruck and half-forward this year without success. Maybe he can be used at CHB/FB, almost tagging Stafford, who generally plays well against us because he is able to exploit Burton's lack of mobility as a ruckman.
If Burton has to contend with Doyle in the centre, Burton will give our guys first use of the ball. Our midfield should match up pretty well with that of the Swans, the possible worry being pace around the flanks (i.e - Goodes, O'Loughlin). Sydney will struggle to cover both Rocca and Carey, with Archer hopefully as the third option.

My main gripe so far is that Archer plays on blokes who are too tall for him. I know it's hard when a tall gets injured early, and Arch has to fill in - but he shouldn't have been on Leppitsch yesterday. With Martyn probably back next week, and McKernan as my recommended option on Stafford, Archer would be freed up to play at half-forward.

B : Makepeace, Martyn, McKernan
HB : Colbert, McCartney, Pickett
C : Blakey, Harris, King
HF : Grant, Carey, D.Smith
F : Harvey, Rocca, Archer
R : Burton, Simpson, Stevens
IC : Watt, Cochrane, Clayton, Jones

IN : Martyn, Carey, Harvey, Jones
OUT : Sinclair, Motlop, Petrie, Rawlings

Not too much to disagree with here, but I'd like to see Blakey on the half back flank and slip Colbert onto the wing where we can use his height and direct play through him.

Also like to see Carey and Rocca both leading from the goalsquare which would hopefully create some sort of disorganisatioin in the Swans defence, and may allow King to snaffle a few long goals.
