Come on boys and girls we are just about to kick off the new 2012 season with a bone cruncher against one this year's contenders the Hawks!

We are consatnly reminded that we have the hardest draw this year?

Yes we have a few players overcoming injuries,we have constant media speculation about players who the competition want to poach.

Amazing the facination that is Collingwood.Ah what a great club we belong too, take pride everyone...Side by side we stick together...never forget that !

Our elder, ex coach and now current commentator, the great Mick Malthouse even tips us to win the flag this year,Mick even said barring serious injuries aside and good player management the Pies will win the big one..........EASILY ?

At full strength i have no doubt no one can touch us.Our new Coach the great Nathan Buckley, although not as experienced as ,Malthouse in terms of years of coaching will become i have no doubt, the most astute coach in the AFL.

So our game plan we have been told won't change much, but Buckley did hint that by year's end there will be tweeks to throw the opposition off.
Ready to rumnble and take all before us come finals time.

The plan is simple we must have at least 28-30 fit players ready to go and who can execute the required game plans that will be in place.

I keep hearing how devastated the hawks are for not getting into the grand final, well i am sure all the pies players taking the field this year, will have that burning innner desire to get the job done come the day of the big dance, after last year's grand final loss.We were 25 minutes away from Glory, that i believe is greater loss. The playing group will seek redemption !

We must remember that premierships are not won in March, and they are not neccesrily won by the best team of the year.
Premierships are won by the best team that plays 4 weeks of excellent Finals footy. It basically comes down to that.

So that's what were planning to do !

Beware the wounded Magpies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go Pies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Malthouse and his flag tip and Pendlebury best in 25 years talk was trolling.

Understand that.
Ed mate get a grip.

The season hasn't started yet.

Cloke is in devestating form.

Pendles is cruising past all opposition.

Jolly is back to fitness and improving rapidly.

The majority of the injuries have been relatively minor.

Barring a run of REAL injuries late like last year. . . .

WE WILL BE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH.

That's all fine and I mostly agree.

But all I'm sayign is, don't look into anything Malthouse says about Collingwood this year because he is trolling, that's all.

Malthouse?

Who cares what that has-been is rabbiting on about?

He showed he put himself before his 'boys' with his infantile behaviour last year and I haven't paid any attention to what he has said or done since.

I think will be a very tough ask tomorrow night. However I like the fact the club is refusing to panic and play injured players so early in the season and would prefer to get the likes of Tarrant, Didak, Beams, Johnson, Brown etc 100% right and not rushing them in. Smart move I'm sure they understand at the end of 22 games if you finish 4th you are just as much chance as winning the flag as 1st.

The bonus of blooding so many youngsters early is that they will see who blossoms and who fades, I hope Yagamoor goes great guns I liked him in the preseason along with Seedsman

I wouldn't be surprised but I have to admit, I'm not expecting the Pies to win. In saying that the last time I thought the Pies looked really weak was against Melbourne last year, and the Pies won by 80 odd points.
