Bews and Rohan - are they done?

Depends on who is on the fringe of the 22. But aasuming dempsey is a lock (in rohans spot) i think any of mannagh or bowes or tuohy offer you more bc they can go through the midfield. I would love to see rohan as a sub but its a risk if a midfielder goes down early (as thats our weakest line).

Today probably didn't do him any favours. All seven forwards fired, and to be honest, earned us a win that looked a little shaky at times.

Ollie Henry kicking four in the Rohan shutdown role in particular was notable.

It is becoming harder and harder for Bews who i think is done except for cover and Rohan to get back in.

Rohan at his best makes us a better side but it is almost impossible to drop any of the forwards on current form leaving a sub role for him at best imo. Which he would excel at imagine a fresh pissed of Rohan charging down everyone in the last quarter.

watching Zuthrie and even the physicality of Mullin, then seeing Bewsy in the VFL is making me reassess my position.

Bewsy can still play a role but im now not as adamant that he's best 23.

MOC is still getting games in front of him.... the age difference and physical ability differnce at this stage demands that.

Being 30 hes not over the hill by any means and has only played 166 games - but its hrad to see him getting to 200 as much as id like him to.

Parfitt has turned it around... maybe Bewsy can too

Yeah i agree. I think henry and dempsey are both improving rapidly and arent going anywhere. I think the only chance for rohan in the 22 would be if they drop close for him but i think thats unlikely.

The other option is rohan as specialist sub. I partly like it him coming on at 3/4 time against tired defenders. But its a risk bc if we get a mid injury early or we need to make a tactical change bc our midfield is getting beaten-then miers or dempsey would have to play a full game in the midfield in a final for rohan to come on. The safer option is probably a mid as a sub.

I still think rohan on ability is best 22 but i dont see how he gets back in.
