Whilst Petterd is in the side, l have every ******* right to criticise and say i told you so.

Not telling anyone what they can and can't say, just voicing an opinion that it's getting beyond a joke the way some posters continue to piss and moan about the same players either being in or out of the side for what is more often than not bullshit reasons. As I said by all means voice your displeasure about why players should/shouldn't be in the side, but at least give some valid reasoning behind it, rather than some of the crap that constantly gets thrown up.

I got it RT, and couldn't agree more, but maybe the only answer is to engage in the debate.
I take on a couple where I think the abuse is just too personal, but otherwise roll eyes and move on. And hey, I'm no genius, I'm sure others think I talk as much crap as the best of them.
As a Tiger supporter I can't see how we wouldn't be glass half full about our club, but clearly issues do arise and warrant criticism, no drama with that.

RT , you are far from understanding or accepting of others reasons on why they have formed an opinion or made a statement.
If you don't agree with their opinion and they provide reasons, you dismiss them as bullshit or not valid.

As I've said no drama with people voicing their opinion.

I'm more than willing to understand or accept a pint of view that is valid/reasonable, but when suggestions are being made that players are getting games because they have pictures of the coach doing something or are rooting the coach aren't what anyone would call valid or reasonable arguments for players being in or out of the side.

Anyone who states they think a player is rooting the coach , obviously has the opinion they aren't worthy of a game and don't wish to elaborate wouldn't you think ?

Meh. It's an internet forum. And the fact is that the match committee don't always get it right. Before the game last week I said that playing Helbig and Batchelor was a mistake.

What is worse than criticising players is criticising people for criticising players.

Why is that?

Nope, that's just society in general. Social media just shows you what you would see/hear if you were stuck in a room with them all. Some good, some bad

Actually i agree with that. I guess i dont like the platform to express such drivel. We all know how bad society can be these days but i dont like these social media's that give a medium to express it which imo creates a cascade effect like a viral pandemic.

It's just egos IMO. Good on those who always bag the same players/coaches, it's get up my nose but at the end of the day they are probably the ones on the dole, living a shit life and using BF to boost their own self esteem...

BOOOM! Old ruthless is a fence sitter from way back, so its unsuprising really.

Agree with the OP.

Agree with those saying people are entitled to their own opinions.

Some people are passionate and like to express themselves (especially Richmond supporters) and that is great. The trouble arises when someone attempts to present their view, their opinion, as fact. We are all different and all have different views, which is awesome because life would suck if we were all the same.

For example:

Fred: "Australian Rules Football is the best sport in the world." (Fred is correct, but incorrect in the way he has chosen to express it.)

Martin: "GayFL, get stuffed! (Martin, a keen NRL fan, has misinterpreted what Fred was attempting to say and feels hurt/offended by Freds comments)

Solution:

Fred: "I think Australian Rules Football is the best sport in the world. Out of all the sports in the world I like footy the most."

Martin: "Fair enough, I think NRL is better because it suits me better. In my opinion you need to be tougher, which I like"

We all know no sport is better than another, it's illogical, it is just what an individual likes.

If you have an opinion or thought, express it as such!
If someone has made a ridiculously strong unfounded comment...relax, they mean it as an opinion!

Cool article below discusses how you are not entitled to your opinion! :D

Quality post! The link deserves a read. Sadly, the ones who need to, wont.
