I’m sorry I have Rockford back on this. You need to adjust the attitude and the way you’re delivering your POV. the way your speaking does come across rude. The showdown was actually more deeman vs rocky. You just got caught up in the middle of it, there’s no need to keep piling on. Like suggesting there was something dodgy by allowing extra time to finalise delistings, or in this post saying the rule is so well hidden or if it even was a rule. Yes it is the rule. it’s been the rule for a long time. And yes in hindsight us that have been in longer shouldve been more clearer. But it’s easy to get complacent and forget these things.

Yeah he may be fully aware of it, but he was attacked. he Actually never rejected the idea of fixing the issue. He simply stayed neutral and said come back with what it should be. Had of things stayed calm he would have worked with you for a resolution. But he was attacked from the get go. Him asking for others to post what needs to change is a reasonable thing to ask. He is just doing data entry really And doing us all a favour.

I see both points here… I’m actually the one that tagged him and said let’s fix it, unfortunately he got on the defensive because there were a series of what came across as aggressive posts.

Agree or disagree it’s irrelevant, he simply acted on the rules we have had for a long time. Attack the rule and not the person following it. And I agree we should have been more clearer with so Many new guys here that’s how it works. What you need to understand and I did mention it this rule came about for a reason. We had the opposite happen once where a player was taken off a list and this time it was ”no I never meant to delist that player“ despite there being no tick. So the rule came about that we must announce delisting on the site. Which isn’t hard to do.

Actually the way you’re carrying on isn’t helpful. We don’t need to find where it was detailed. This isn’t some conspiracy against you. It was the way it’s been done for years. Drew23 Unknown Caller flaps tenderwarrior Jordie_tackles KissKiss The_Big_Ship can confirm this. Hence why Jordie_tackles didnt even nominate a keeper. So are you suggesting Rockford should’ve wiped his whole squad? That alone makes it a grey area.

This could have been avoided if instead of jumping down his throat just asking politely “hey I’m new here, were we supposed to announce delisting here, I didn’t know it’s not posted anywhere recent for us to see, can we fix it, no one mentioned it’ the we would’ve went in to bat for you. And originally I did go into bat for you Because I realised yeah we should’ve mentioned it and told Wise Guy Sam to include it in the OP. I’m the one that tagged him to sort it. But after I’ve seen the way it was handled, and still is to some degree, I’m on his side. He should not be badgered in this way And have snarky remarks thrown at him suggesting he was pulling shifties.

right well diplomacy has been called for the whole time and after the initial blow ups ive certainly tried to many times. Rockford or Unknown Caller can someone please edit the draft order or pm it to Wise Guy Sam or myself and put in Northern dogs #44 and move the picks behind back one please before the draft so we can put this all to bed. Cmon guys, i know everyone got angry but theres no need to stay angry, were all friends and i apologised multiple times for how i handled things and im not holding grudges, it isnt healthy to hold onto grudges when peace is offered. I know no one actually wants the league to die coz of this. Can we please just move on.

I think we will be ok, Rockford is just busy and said he won’t be on so just wait and see I think. You cant do anymore than you have so don’t stress at the moment.

I don’t even think it matters if the drafts starts, Rockford is busy this weekend as mentioned. We are talking about a pick in the 4th round. We’ve got a while before we get there.

Does anyone have any issues with Northern Dogs getting his 1 extra delisting in? For those that don’t know he didn’t mark him as a nominated keeper on UF but didn’t list one player on here. He did nominate all his other delistings here though as per OP. The intent was to delist 1 extra player but it was not posted on BF. This is I believe an honest misunderstanding. We’ve always posted delistings in BF and the OP does say delistings should be posted here but that was posted months ago and easily forgotten. We also discussed if this was needed going forward.

If you have an issue with this being amended explain why. I don’t think any reasoning around the emotional reactions over the past 24 hours should be given here as this small issue is causing a lot of tension already and that’s not constructive. if no objections Rockford said it’s an easy fix to do if we all agree too it and when he has time. Likely during the week.

This is just about ND’s 1 delisting being added. Nothing else. All other coaches have accepted their lists. This is typically a relaxed league and strictly for fun. Rockford volunteers his time to ensuring we can all enjoy this league, now in its second decade.

No objections to allowing the delistngs, never disagreed with the content there, and even supported it. Just the manner in which it was brought forward was the issue here and the suggestion that shifty business was going on.

Was never an issue with giving ND P44. If I'd had to weigh in on whether he should've receive it given the circumstances I'd have said yes. The issue for me was the general attitude and shit I've copped because I've made a judgment call and followed a long standing rule.. literally a rule that was created because once in the past someone accidentally didn't select a keeper on UF but had intended to. ND has P44 now. And next season someone else can deal with this shit and cop the abuse.
