The season is now live and lineups are updated. Only 8 votes for the poll regarding free agent pickups.

They are increasing this season but if it’s to 7 or 10 pickups per season is up to you all. I personally don’t think it matters. Take a look at the players that are available. If that stops someone getting a donut that’s good. But there isn’t a whole lot of hidden talent there.

If it looks like 10 is going to win, then I'll change my vote to 8 Think 7 as an incremental step is better but would rather have 8 than 10.

I don’t think it’s something worth lobbying about. I also think it’s pretty common sense that the people who voted for 7 would rather it be 8 than 10 Unless it’s an OCD thing and they just like odd numbers.

Likely though, both change your vote, 1 to 7 and 1 to 10 FA pickups just to be annoying and a bit funny.

The majority of top teams at the moment want less pickups (but still increase) and the majority of bottom teams want more pickups.

The FA pool has very little talent in there making this an ongoing discussion on a really small and mostly meaningless change.

I think both should change the vote and delete shame option of 8.

You could also argue those who voted 10 would pick 8 over 7.

I'll add to this that by "choice" of not selecting a player from waivers may come down to the fact we are limited each season by FA moves. Only having a handful of choices to make a move really makes teams hamstrung by off-season decisions, and plays in to the fact that some teams will suck longer than others.

Ideally, we all want equality, and for an even league, maybe it's time for a review of the dominance of teams up top and teams down the bottom. And for transparency, I'm not crying poor here while my team is down the bottom, as I traded away older players and list decisions have led me to second last. So I'm not worried about that. What I mean is that there's only a few premiership winners in this league over the past decade, and while some coaches have made great decisions, it's pretty hard for anyone to compete year-to-year without the same result ending up.

I think we should force Rockford to give everyone a player each over the age of 23
