It took the Kings Cross Crusaders 31 balls to take 9 of the 'Roos wickets, and 69 to get their last. Van_Power and princy_99 launched a rescue mission for the 'Roos to somehow, desperately play out the remaining overs to save themselves from complete misery, but this bowler friendly wicket and classy bowling got the better of them. That's all the cricket from the 1st Pre-season Friendly, join us for the 2nd at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney

The * was that. I hate to say it, but good performances with the ball by Sterge and Van_Power. With the bat, the only acceptable performances were by princy_99 and Van_Power. Better be better than that next time.

A fantastic start for the Western Woodpeckers, 51 off just 5.0 overs, they are making full use of the
power play.

5.1 Ljp86 to DemonJim, The batsman looks surprised that that ball wasn't called a wide. The bowler's grinning as he makes his way back to his mark. (0)
5.2 Ljp86 to DemonJim, The batsman has a wild slog, and gets enough to send the ball to the fence for four! Not the best looking shot, but it certainly was effective. (4)
5.3 Ljp86 to DemonJim, Oh, needless wicket there. Charged down the wicket, swung wildly, and inside-edged onto the middle stump. The middle stump goes cartwheeling past the wicket keeper. The bowler is loving it.

0.1 Greater Gattsby to lyall, My GOD that's massive! 6 runs! (6)

3.2 Smartys Power to matty6, I don't think he'll be attempting any more bouncers after that. The batsman has hooked that away magnificently for six! (6)
5.6 Smartys Power to matty6, For all the Americans out there, that's the cricketing equivalent of a Home-Run. Nice stuff. Six. (6)

15.3 Son of Skeletor to matty6, Great bowling, catching the batsman off guard with the quicker ball. He's stuck in his crease, rapped on the pads, and thoroughly beaten.

@Matty6's innings come to an end, Son of Skeletor bowls a fantastic delivery. The 'Peckers have gotten the breakthrough they needed. Game on!

15.4 Son of Skeletor to Scotty_WCE, What on Earth was the batsman trying to do there? He went down the wicket, got on one knee, and tried to paddle the ball over the keeper. He missed completely, and a chuckling keeper removes the bails.

A sound effect was all it needed to give it a comedic look. A poor outing for Scotty_WCE, out for a golden duck. Son of Skeletor is on a hat-trick!

Hat-trick ball - 15.5 Son of Skeletor to wce_all_da_way, Perfect yorker on the leg stump. (0)

15.6 Son of Skeletor to wce_all_da_way, Perfect yorker, and he's gone!
