Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

Correct me if i'm wrong but the only way i can loose my divison is if i loose and Manu or Fuey score like 120+ more point then me?
Correct?
Correct.

You've basically won the division already....short of some kind of 120+ pts difference between your score and Manureid, or Fuey scoring 200+ more than you.

The fight is for the WC....Manureid, Fuey and Vick.

Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

The Bigfooty Conference West comes down to a final week conference matchup to determine the champ.

Sammy (5-6-1) plays Cassius (5-7)
Dspeed (5-7) plays Sven (4-7-1)

If Sammy beats Cassius it's all over, if Cassius wins and Dspeed loses it goes to Cassius, if Cassius and Dspeed both win it goes to Dspeed on points scored (currently 937 to 674).

The Svengali are making up the numbers, but will be going hard for a 2nd win this season over Dspeed.

It's amazing that the Conference is so close, and if Deseaun Jackson hadn't dropped the ball at the 1 yard line in week two (in his early celebration of his first TD catch:mad::mad:) it'd be all tied up at 5-7 each! - not that I'm bitter about it!

Meanwhile...

The WC race is between JeffDunne and Dspeed. The only two possible WC entrant from the BF Conference. Depending on results, it will either be JD as WC at 6-7 record with a higher Pts For than Dspeed. Or Dspeed at 6-7 with a higher Pts For than JD. Or JD just entering straight in at 6-7. Or JD entering in at 7-6

It'll come down to me or Sammy IMO. Rekon you've got dspeed covered especially with Westy injured. Although sammy's got me covered too so I'll need to get lucky.

Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

Are you really going to keep Graham at the end of the year Sven? Even if he comes back great, with Cadillac and Dunn....
Who knows? I thought he was a worthwhile speculative pickup. Warwick Dunn will be 34 before next season starts, and the Cadillac keeps having to go back to the shop for repairs.

I'd rather be in the position of deciding whether or not to drop Graham than hoping that I could get him in the draft.

I'm not sure what draft spot I'd have to give up to keep him since I got him as a free agent, although he was originally drafted in the 1st round.

As per the rules it costs you whatever round he was originally drafted in, even if dropped by one team and subsequently picked up, so yeh it will cost you a 1st rounder, a price i would be surprised if you were willing to pay

See, this is a tactic im surprised more people dont do.
If your opponent has Westbrook on their team, you start McNabb because "just in case".
Where if their player does well then so will yours, and hopefully you cancel the score differential out.
You wouldnt do it for every player out there, but there are plenty.
It could be their QB so you start your WR/RB. Or their RB/WR so you start your QB.

Sven with Nabby on the bench...
honestly, after last week's effort, do you blame me? It would've taken extremely large balls, or stupidiity to start McNabb this week. He wasn't guaranteed more than a quarter if he played crap early.....

Dspeed will get the win thanks to Westbrook's 4 TDs - game over! (and an early draft pick!)

Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

And even then, would you really pick him over Rodgers, Turner, CJ, maybe even Washington...

But I get ya...
I'd rather have 2 RB keepers, but I get your point, at this stage Turner and Washingto are probably my RB keepers, and then I'll have to decide between Rodgers and Johnson over who will be my 3rd keeper. I don't have to make any decisions until May next year, so you never know!

Mizz is 11 points down With the Chargers, Kaeding, Morris and Gaffney in play, Taylor still to come... Fuey has White in play and Orton to come.

You're up by 16 against Wiz with Cotch, Shinacoe and Vikes to come or in play, against Favre Sloaton and Scheffler.

Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

I better not lose by 1 point again to mis the playoffs!

I can see it, same as last season when I lead by 20 with Welker to come against Brady and some space filler like Gaffney. Looked in the bag, Welker having a stellar season, like Brady, but at least Brady will be sending a few his way right!!??

Welker 1 pt
Brady 16 pts
Gaffney 6 pts

= me lose by 1 point

And that is after a dodgy penalty on the baltimore D gave the ball back to Brady in the last to finish me off. Still burns........:(

Not looking good....:(

I need Shiancoe in the game FFS!!

And the Vikes D needs to get some turnovers. I need a certain Bears (now) backup QB in the game to throw a couple of INT's for me!

Or I need Slaton to be a withdrawal tomorrow.
