Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

If Dspeed accepts the trade, then whoever got the player has to keep him or cut him and blow the pick he just gave away. Cannot trade the player again.
Of course dspeed will allow the trade.

Question: Whats a certain QB worth that Brasher has in BFFFL and I have in dynasty?

Prolly a 2nd-3rd rounder... Personal opinion :p (Traded him for a virtual first last year)

As long as said club doesn't implode or get injuries...
I agree :)

Thing thats also in favour for Brasher is that if Romo isnt a keeper than unless he trades him he gets nothing for him. So Romo might be worth a 2nd-3rd rounder but Brasher would settle for a 5th rounder because thats better than nothing. I think that logic is right???

FWIW, its a 2nd/3rd rounder thats being exchanged.

If it was between getting a 5th round pick and trading Romo, or keeping Romo, I would keep him for that value... Would be gone in the first 2 rounds if he let him go, and no one with that many obvious points will be left in the fifth.

So you give a 2nd and third for Romo and 5th? Or just a single pick?

Love it how Romo can't stay in a single persons hands :p

3rd rounder + swap of 9th round picks.

I hope that Brashers 2nd proposal was official. Dont want to be premature. Should be fine though.

Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

So let me get this right...

Brasher gives Cassius: Romo + his 9th
Cassius gives Brasher: 3rd + his 9th

If so, and Dspeed accepts (which he probably would).

The rules around that are....

For Brasher: For now, this earned 3rd rounder wont be forfeited when he goes to keep one of his own keepers. His OWN 3rd would be forfeited. It's "for now" because LM has to look over the whole league prior to the draft for any 'abuse'.

For Cassius: The 3rd he gave away is already "forfeited", and the 9th rounder is not protected if Cassius goes to keep one of his own keepers if it's a 9th rounder for that player.

For Cassius: He cannot trade Romo now. He has to keep him or cut him. Also, Romo's keeper value now is "3rd round". So if Cassius keeps him again the following season (2010), he will forfeit a 3rd rounder.

Thats gone over my head. Brasher only forfeits his 3rd rounder if he wants to use a keeper in that round, correct? Meaning he'll have 2 3rd rounders? Mine and his?

My 9th rounder which is now higher is mine unless I want to keep a player who was picked in that round?

Correct?

Brasher has two 3rd rounders. His and yours. The one he got from you is non-forfeitable tho. Unless he abuses his draft picks to try to leverage some advantage. I'll explain in a minute.

The 9th rounders that you and Brasher included in the trade are considered separate to the above condition. Meaning, if you keep a player that will cost you a 9th, you will lose the 9th you have. Otherwise you can use it to draft a player or trade or whatever you want.

I assume GG you mean here that my own 3rd would be forfeited if I used it to retain a keeper.

As I am likely to keep three of Cassell, Williams, Forte and Moss. Moss being taken in the 3rd would require me giving up my own 3rd rounder to keep him (last pick of round.....not the aforementioned one gained from the Romo trade).

Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

Seeing others getting trades going already (Me thinks not too many will want to) makes me want to :p Gotta catch up after all...

And Cass is already trading the house down after being hesitant to do anything last year :p

Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

Bloody hell, what a bargain :p
Ya reckon?

I either trade him or i loose him for nothing. Thats the way i seen it.

He wasn't someone i was going to keep anyway. I'm pretty set on my keepers.
Bush, Rivers and Slaton are the guys i'm thinking at the moment with Boldin as another possibility but with a ??? over him at the moment.
Gives me 2 x 2nd rounders which leaves me in a good draft position conidering i wont have a 1st rounder due to keeping Reggie.

I'm happy with it. Could have bargained a little more, but lets face it. I now have a 2nd rounder which i wouldnt have had if i didnt trade him.

Re: BFFFL #1 - Part 3

I woulda been set on Portis as the first of your most definite keeps. The guy is NUMBER ONE in Washington, plays through minor injuries, and still gets results...

A few but unlikely you would bite for anything I chucked up... Having a lot of troubly this year... I know its very early, but keeper/trade wise... frustrating. The current set up makes me hesitant to even bother trying to trade for minor players I'm interested in, as you can't trade them again...

How long do you think Portis has left in him though mate?
Gotta get nearing the end soon.
