Re: BigFooty Fantasy Football League

Thanks GG. I'm sure researching for this was a real labour of love for you.

You have way too much time on your hands!

If I change my franchise's name from Brashers Bail Jumpers it may upset my front office though.

GM: Duane "Dog" Chapman
Coach: Bill Walsh
Off Coord: "Storming Norman" Schwarzkopf
Def Coord: Johnnie Cochran
Assist GM: Ronnie Biggs

Stadium Name: The Fugitive Bowl in Reno

Never 'too much' time. I never have enough.
More like 'misdirected' time.

Let me or dspeed know tho if you'd rather keep the Bail Jumpers. But hopefully 'the 69ers' isn't too easy to give away. I'm sure your front office are all fans of a good 69er themselves (shudder at the thought).

Re: BigFooty Fantasy Football League

C'mon guys, make some picks, is it my turn yet?
today will make up for yesterday... yesterday was very very quick considering the stage of the draft.

I'm already prepared for my next pick so you can expect another 5 second response rate! haha. :thumbsu:

Getting confident by the day that I am going to dominate my division not only this year, but for many years to come! :)

Go Babies!

Nice to see pictures of Moss happy and at... the minicamps... Brady himself seems to be receiving the most attention from his impregnating ways.

Moss is going to be HUUUUGE this year ;)

Moss these days only puts in when he's happy. New England are generally always a top team with SB credentials. So he should, theoritically, be happy and contributing great numbers there. Just depends how his legs hold up and if starts causing lockerroom etc problems. The only things that could happen that'd keep his numbers down.

Re: BigFooty Fantasy Football League

I'm always ready for my pick dammit, I go through so many fantasy drafts, it just makes sense to do my own rankings once, and go off of those instead of doing different rankings each time I have a draft.

When it's my pick I just take out those who've been taken, and choose between my highest remaining players. Although due to this being a keeper, I have deviated a few times from my own list.

Re: BigFooty Fantasy Football League

Had to see that coming, the sheep changed direction so the rest followed, haha.

A suggestion for the 'corner' picks of each round.

The 5 people, who make up the next 10 picks could IM dspeed and if there is no double up dspeed can just list the 10... if there is, he obviously goes back to the person who is further down the order and asks for another pick.

This way those people only have to check in once, rather than make a pick then wait between 5 minutes and 2 days until the next pick (5-8 picks later)

we cant really do it before dspeed makes his pick but on the other end of the 'snake' it could be worth while, as you'll only tell speed the 2 players you want.

Re: BigFooty Fantasy Football League

I'm starting to see a pattern with the wiz's picks

Baltimore,
Washington,
New York Giants,
Buffalo,
San Fransisco (where did that come from?),
New York Giants,
Green Bay,
New York Jets

Got something against the West Coast perhaps???

No one will let him trade up no matter what after my trade down effort.

Think of it as your friendly gg community service. Taking one for the team.

Re: BigFooty Fantasy Football League

He'd have a walk out on his hand... I think he can consider his trading days over, give up while he is ahead

They'd be unions and all

hopefully that might makes things a bit smoother... if not we just dont do it anymore. I think 'most' of the picks wont clash at this point, they are a bit random... different needs... different positions... different views... at the end of the day 2% of these picks might be very good players, haha

I'm not that confident that Vick will make a selection soon based on his 12 hour time difference so I thought I'd chuck something out for discussion.

Here are my rankings based on what I've seen so far. The rankings are based on the projected points production for each of the skill players in your teams according to your scoring rules. I've assumed points for the two TEs and the RB required by Mizza and others based on who's left to choose from. I haven't looked at the bye weeks yet, so its entirely numerical at this point.

1. dspeed

Overall theres a difference of 320 points between 1st and 16th.

I had CONS_SS at #1 but I can't get my head around his choice of Chris Henry as his #2 RB. I suppose that's the problem with drafting so early in the season. If Lendale White gets his act together and reports to camp, Henry could be a bust. I'm also concerned about Henry's durability if he has to go into the season as the featured back. Although he was drafted in the 2nd round many commentators saw his pick as a major reach by the Titans as he nominated for the draft as a junior with limited production and was a workout warroir. One of my favourite draft commentators Scott Wright observed of the Titans pick of Henry "The most overrated player in this draft from my point of view but they needed a running back."

I'm doing a far more detailed analysis of the draft, with comments, but that won't be done until next week.

Re: BigFooty Fantasy Football League

You should expect dspeed to be on top, not only did he have pick no 2....

he elevated himself 42 picks 6 rounds x 7 (?)... from his 'normal' position

:D

I am happy with that... after Harrison and T.Jones I'm sure people had me bottom 4... but since then my team has gone from strength to strength with some of the better picks...

Not to blow my own horn or anything, haha.
