Brasher (and his Bail Jumpers)
Original picks 5, 28, 37, 60, 69, 92, 101, 124, 133, 156 traded up in round 6 (pick 92 for 82), and down in round 7 (pick 101 for 111)
Thus ended up with 5, 28, 37, 60, 69, 82, 111, 124, 133, 156
Selection order RB, RB, WR, WR, QB, WR, WR, TE, DST
5. Willie Parker RB
28. Edgerrin James RB
37. Darrell Jackson WR
60. Reggie Brown WR
69. Jay Cutler QB
82. Laveranues Coles WR
111. Matt Jones WR
124. Heath Miller TE
133. New York Jets DST
Went with the back-yard bully, Wille Parker in round 1, can be inconsistent against quality defences, but torched it up a few times against below average competition last year.
Took the Edge in round 2, I would expect James' numbers to improve this year, with Leinart's development at QB making the difference
Reached for Darrell Jackson in round 3. You've got to be wary of WRs moving teams as it can be a bit of a lottery, IMO better value here in Javon Walker or Marques Colston
Made no mistakes in round 4 selecting WR Reggie Brown
In round 5 made a good value pick with QB Jay Cutler, the third 2nd year QB taken, Brett Favre or Matt Shaub may have also been considered
In round 6 took full advantage of his better draft spot with WR Laveranues Coles
Reached for WR Matt Jones in round 7, Matt projects as the 3rd wideout at Jacksonville, Greg Jennings (2nd WR at GB) was probably a better pick
Took Heath Miller in round 8 and the Jets DST in round 9. I'm no fan of the Jets pick, but DST can be a bit of a minefield after the top 4 or 5, so its hard to criticise the pick.
Overall Brasher started strong, but became a bit inconsistent as the draft progressed with a couple of questionable picks, has a good 1-2 punch at RB, and three solid WRs
Brasher is up against some quality opposition in the BFC, but should be competitive.
