Lockyer named for sebas šŸ‘€ thought he was gone for all money. Wonder how fit he is. Mark Orr back in only change for Melton.

Weather looks sh*t for Saturday. Hope it doesnā€™t ruin the day like it did last grand final in 2019.

On a dry deck Iā€™d say Melton would run away with it by 6-8 goals. The most likely wet, Ballarat conditions will suit Sebastopol more with some older hardened bodies. Melton have a few lightly framed kids.

Sebas will need there ex vfl stars all firing if they are to get up.

Iā€™ll say Bloods by 15 points

Melton did well to hang on with the weather and the momentum Sebas had in the third quarter. Seemed like the fairytale ending for Sebas was going to happen with that keeble soccer goal and then needing a goal to win with the ball in the F50 late in the game.

The competition is in a pretty healthy state with 9 of the 11 clubs premiers in the last 13 years, with Sebas one of the teams who hasn't got a premiership has been in multiple GFs.

Even though the weather Saturday was as worse as it possibly could get & a low scoring scrap, was still a great game. To use a cheesy cliche, edge of the seat type stuff.

As mentioned above, sebas looked liked they were gonna pinch it at the death but bloods hung on. Early goals to Melton were like gold. Sebastopol got a run on late in the third. In hindsight Keeble shouldnā€™t of tried to pass it but canā€™t lay blame on him in those conditions. All 44 players tried there guts out. My 3 best on would of been J.Walker, Cassidy & J.Hickey. All mids, obviously wasnā€™t a day for KP players.

People watching the live stream wouldnā€™t understand but the atmosphere in the stands was terrific all day. Thought the roof was gonna lift off the stand when Keeble kicked those back to back goals in the third. Both sets of supporters were loud with their respective chants and roaring at one another. Thought it was gonna turn ugly at one point but thankfully nothing escalated.

Williamstown Premiership player Billy Myers has officially returned to Darley.
Great get, Thereā€™s rumours of an ex Essendon ruckman also being linked to them.

Looks like there will be a clear leader for strongest side in the town next year between the devils and cobra.

Iā€™ve heard Bellchambers is in contention for the coaching job at the marsh.

I think if Marsh weā€™re gonna appoint internally with Jake Owen they would of done it by now. There season finished a month ago. Sebas finished on satty and have already announced their co-coaches from within.

Donā€™t think they know what they are doin. Donā€™t even know if they have a President or committee currently

Anyone know if there is much too the rumours of South trying to enter the WRFL? Has been mentioned for a few years now however with Deer Park and St Albans leaving the WRFL rumour is there is a few clubs who will replace them.

Only problem with them joining the WRFL is no netball, Which has been the clubs shining light past few years. They had their A,B,C,D & E grade sides all play finals this year.

On the footy front, its hard to tell which direction they are heading,. with no u19s for the second straight year, the reserves finished dead last and winless, and the seniors, despite a nice patch early to mid year, finished the back end of year pretty average. I know they had a fair few injuries and Conway retiring. A move to a different comp might rejuvenate the footy side of things.

Eynesbury & Rockbank have apparently approached the WRFL, I haven't heard anything substantive linking South there (this time around).
