They've picked up Hamish Pearce from the Cannons & are hopeful that they'll see Cam Guthrie at some point.

They gave up because there were no viable avenues left to explore and the choice was either sit out the season or swallow pride and play again in Bendigo

They are now actively looking at merging with a club who have juniors in Ballarat but no senior sides so if there’s a deal for next year that would seem a bit of a strange move

This post in the Bendigo thread caught my attention.
Am I the only one interpreting this as Gisborne is talking to a Ballarat FNL junior club about merging? Is there only Mount Clear that this could be?

It'd be Mount Clear or Woady Yaloak, either way it'd be unusual. The Mount Clear/Buninyong merger makes much more sense.
