Yes mate. Always depends on how many VFL games they have played. Bit harsh giving 5 points to some fringe VFL players who might have snuck in 5 games in a few seasons. But if they mostly played VFL development they will only be 4. It’s not an ideal system.
Look at this years VFL sides. Nth Blues really struggling so some lesser players might get games and come back to community level with high points. What a joke..

But I do like the extra point added if you go to an opposing club in the same league.

Melton 25
Marsh 43
Darley 34
Sebas 42
North 30

Looks like we were wrong on our interpretations of the points guidelines. Most players are lower than we assumed. Were there deals done here with AFL Goldfields?

Sebas have 50 points to play with according to the BFL website tonight, which is 2 more than was announced in Feb of this year. They are way below that level so not really an issue by itself, but when did they get the extra 2?

Cassidy - 5
Also, Lovett is listed as 4 - he was 4 last year and Goodes is listed as 3. He was 5 last year.

The only other explanation is that Sebas have fudged the numbers. A few CHFL clubs got caught out doing the same a few years back in a league wide audit. It was a bit of an honesty system in that league though because they don’t have full time admin to check them so unlikely the same has happened here

East have not named palmer or mcqueen. So 9-points there. Marsh are right on the limit! After looking at the teams I might change my view on North, can’t beat Sebas with that team!

Apparently a VFL player can’t be more than 5-points, a TAC cup player can’t be more than 4-points.

Ok. Another anomoly in the system. So a club could bring in a player from a rival club who might qualify for extra points - b&f, 3 clubs in 3 years etc & he could get lumped with 6 points and if they got the Liston Trophy winner he’d be 5. I give up.

South playing arch rival Melton tomorrow and their ‘coach’ is off to Bali. Haha

I know he is serving a two game suspension for sniping Brian Graham, but he could not give a stuff about the club. Not the type of person you would want leading your club that’s for sure. Wouldn’t see Trav Hodgson or Heath Scotland doing that.

Melton FC points tally round 25/46

Very rarely see that in any league. I’ve never seen that anywhere..
Good on Melton FC for there junior program and being courageous enough to play homegrowns.

Good job for a coach if they have the coin to bring in some players next year.

Gee Slammer you love sinking the boot into Sth at every opportunity. I don’t follow this league but think you need to give them a break. Think I’ve stated this before but at least they are having a crack as the area off Mth South is difficult to attract kids I guess and 3 sides in Melton I’ve never agreed with.

Yes he might not be your perfect coach but his name alone attracts people in. At least they are trying something which I commend them for.

I sympathise with the true south people, who love and have kept it afloat through some dark years. Fevola and Triplett will most likely leave the place in ruins. There is no quick fix.
I’d be much happier if I were a Bloods supporter, a team full of local kids and a club committed to a long term plan.

I caught a couple of South games towards the end of 2016, and FWIW I think they shoulda taken Peddo's thoughts more seriously about a long term (and sustainable) future in perhaps the RDFL.
