Pretty ordinary call. He has recently played AFL footy and has been a star on the VFL for a long time. He will have an impact on and off the field. I am glad he chose Sebastopol
Look, he will be a gun player obviously and will be great for the club and league off the field. I am just saying because he plays for them, the bulk of people will not even notice he is in the league. Until Sebas become relevant no one cares.

That's all that people are saying though, that he'll be a quality addition for Sebas, not that he'll make them premiership favourites.
Either way the young blokes at Sebas will definitely be better off for his presence.

Not comparing Goodes to anyone really, but get over him dude. The only people that will see him play are Sebas supporters. Opposition do not care to go watch their team play Sebas....even with the greatest player of all time there. Most teams treat it as another bye, rest players and supporters go away for the weekend.

His resume next to Darley premiership player Shane O'Bree looks quite poor by the way

Interesting comparison slammer. I support the pies and I would rather a. 32 yo Goodes playing all year at my BFL club, to a banged up 38 yo playing 4 games.

I am still interested in your response to my original question in relation to your comments concerning Goodes compared to Clifton?

I believe Goodes' choice is a more holistic one giving back to the town and league rather than winning flags, or worrying about who might care to go and watch him play? If you are familiar with the Ovens & Murray league (It used to be the number 1 country league in Victoria until Albury's money and dominance has destroyed it) you will understand the point I am making.

Wasn't O'Bree from Beaufort rather than Darley?

Obree is not originally from Darley, not sure the relevance of that. Also you must not have seen him play last year if you think he is banged up.
Now I must go, I cannot talk about Goodes anymore it's boring. When you get over your extreme excitement about him let me know and we'll talk about teams that matter. Like Lakers, Redan etc

See you slammer. Always interesting to see blokes make grandiose statements that when challenged they are subsequently unable to support beyond 'catch all' statements.

You have provided nothing relevant or substantial to support your claims and are now taking your little footy and going home .... That is disappointing slammer.

What grandiose statement do you want me to support. I never compared Goodes to Clifton, you did. I couldn't give a f**k about either of them.

I'm wondering if anyone would be able to fill me in on Lake Wendouree's current ruck stocks. Had 2 pretty handy rucks last year in Bowen and Tuminello, but I read the other day that Bowen had moved on, and apparently Tuminello is very busy with work commitments....?

Knocked off early Friday did you mate? Chocked and mise aswell. If you are going to make comparisons with the benchmark club of the BFL over the last 20 years and the worst club quite possibly on the planet, try to at least string a coherent sentence together. Maybe stay off the cans before you post rubbish you muppet.

Hi guys, any feedback on Mickitja Rotumah-Onus? He's moving to Ocean Grove so am interested in your thoughts on him as a player?

Only a kid mate but he has got a lot of talent. Skills are good, decision making lets him down at times and could probably get himself a bit fitter but would be a very handy pick up. Can play both ends, creative and elusive like a lot of aboriginal boys. Would still only be 18, maybe 19 but has already played a fair bit of senior footy both here in Ballarat and also in Darwin. Pretty sure he played for NT in the national u18 championships either last year or 2014 and is also a member of St. Pats College HeraldSun Shield winning teams from the past couple of years. Very very talented teams that would beat a lot of senior country sides and have fed quite a number into the AFL system. Will go well.

Good to see The Marsh getting over Darley. The whipping boys for a long time hopefully the wheels turning.Yes flags are not won in April but its good for The Marsh and the comp.Hodgson who has a fair resume and is widely respected im sure will continue to get the best out of them.

I'm not sure many would have predicted them giving Darley such a touch up, credit to them.

Good to see the Sebas boys have a win. Bottom side in Melton South I realise ... but over the last few years that has been Sebastopol's spot. The Goodes experiment going ok so far as they have been competitive in two games, and simply being competitive, has to be the first step in any rebuild.

Definitely, I've heard nothing but good things out of Sebas lately.
Obviously a fair way to go still but a good point to build from.

This week against Melton will tell a story. If they are as competitive as they were against Ballarat it means Snibson is doing good things.
