G'day AFLL, I don't know what's happening at South, I am no longer involved, I wish them all the best, there is some really good people there, but its a tough gig these days.
 
I see North City have recruited former North Juniors and 2016 Newlyn Coaches Wil & Kal Young. It was reported in the Courier last week that North would target mature players to balance the age of their list. Could this be the start of a raid on CHFL clubs by North? I see McConnell has quit as Ballan coach, could he also be heading to North, kicked 73-goals this year.

So anybody leaving their current club must be heading to North? Why would McConnell be going to North? Who else? Brent Harvey? If the rumours are true they will need to be recruiting anybody they can get their hands on to replace the departures.

They need a spine, some big Bodied mature age recruits to give the kids a chop out. I'm pretty certain they would be the youngest senior side in the Comp. The culture down at south has changed past few years for the better.
 
Rumour has is north are in huge debt
Don't be surprised if McNamara gets afew names too Ballan in the off season

Here’s a scenario:
Going stand alone in the VFL this year meant they lost nearly 10 AFL-listed (North Melbourne) players, players that they probably didn’t need to pay at all. So 10-players leave and they need to be replaced, given they only won 2-games they obviously didn’t replace them with like for like, but if the minimum match payment is $500/game that’s roughly an extra $100k minimum they had to find straight up and that’s bottom end VFL players. Then they also had an exodus of senior players from the BFL they needed to cover. I wonder how well they budgeted for that? I also noticed that once the ground was repositioned there was a dramatic drop in the number of sponsor’s signs at the ground. The CEO of 10-years quits in July, just before its announced they can’t pay their players! Was it just a short term cash flow issue or have accumulated losses caught up with them?

From what I've heard they are close to going into administration.. I'm talking the whole sports club venue, I take it the football departments are included in this (not 100% sure). But yeah I've heard they could be brining people in if they don't generate enough in the next couple months
