PD's 2 cents worth... Grigg got dropped twice at Abers last year and had 3 touches in the granny. If the money they say hes on is true, the bloods have lost the plot. All i know is, Adam Houli will have a picnic playing on him.
.. and Houli was dropped for the Grand Final, however it means sfa at this point.
What matters is how they perform at Melton and Melton Sth respectively.
Grigg can play and I'm sure he'll be a handful for opposition defences.

Houli is a very good player and full backs that can run and create are not easy to find. However let's remember his been apart of some good backlines in Abers & Deerpark which helped him do these things. Interesting to see how he goes at Sth.
I agree I wouldn't be paying Grigg to much $$. His a decent player but clubs need to be careful of falling into the trap of paying players "well" over their market value.. He wasn't one of the Abers main players.

Sounds like a good match up then because Houli obviously wasn't one of Deer Park's main players either.

However Houli was one of Abers main players for years and helped them win a GF. Seen him do well on Ben Warren a few times but as I said the Abers back 6 are pretty tight. Playing fullback in EDFL footy is not easy. Anyway it does sound like a good match up on paper I agree.

Houlli getting dropped didnt have anything to do with his performance, more his lack of effort off the field. Didnt get involved at any social functions, would leave straight after games and training and just didnt fit into the culture the club was trying to build. Deer Park were in a position where they could sacrifice a player like Houlli and still know they would win the GF by 10 goals.

Houlli was a quality player at Abers for many years, but relied on pace which as he gets older will disappear. He is still very prone to the odd clanger and can be undiscipline and giving away stupid free kicks in front of goal.

See in the courier today, Sunbury have lost Redfern, J McInneny, as well as Grant Valles for part of the season. Looks like that deleted post about a few leaving is gonna be true.

Looks like everything is falling into place for my Panthers!

No need to worry about my man Houli either... The boy is a dead set star.

Why haven't you mentioned a single name of any of your local kids in any of your posts ? Some of them can actually play and will perform better than some of the "gun" recruits.

AB De Villiers, everyone already knows about the Panthers cracking kids all of which have already signed on. Billy Sullivan 17 years old, the Callus brothers, Boof Hibbert, Lachy Watkins just to name a few.

Cheer Cheer the Blue & the White!

It's shame that very little of this passion was on display when the club was struggling.
Obviously you don't know. Agm numbers don't agree with your comment. Considering the lack of success I reckon it pretty good. Core group of supporters turned up week in week out. Now the trips to ballarat will be a lot more encouraging

Nice work, I didn't argue any of those points however.
I have no issue with Melton Sth and wish them well given the hard times that they've been through but for blokes to be jumping on here patting themselves on the back when literally nothing has been achieved yet is a little sad.

Sorry for getting a bit excited BlueJet. When you have been through the hard times and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel you just cant help but be up and about.

When you bring in quality like
Fevola
Lynch
A Houli
M Houli
Thornton
Peters
Banner
Walsh
Broadbent
And local superstar Matty Notman

My mail is there's more coming to Panther Park - stay tuned for Paddy's breaking news.

I feel a dynasty coming on.

Well done to the Bloods on this big coup. But do they realise this bloke has to play footy not cricket? He hasnt played for 6 years!

Next you know they'll be recruiting Julian Knight out of Barwon

Paddy, did you just let the cat out of the bag on another recruit?

Haven't heard any news of Walsh. Who is it?

Agree, embarrassing.

Have not even got 4 points in the bank yet.

Gemini, I do have a habit of being a bit premature. I'll wait on the official club's announcement, but all I'll say is...

The Kid Can Playyyyyyyy

Yes the Bloods signings have been very underwhelming, especially considering what its little brother is doing. A few club hopping mercenaries and a bloke who hasnt had a kick in 6 years. Is there an early market for the spoon..
