Are you talking about the one from Darley, I think a few of us mentioned he would not be worth it.
So you have lost Kommer, Lynch, Banner, El Houli, M. El Houli, and Pears (not that he was really there). Kept Fev and Notman, and brought in 20 plus points for Ray, Golby, Houghton, Wooster and Miles. Losing also 1 pointers in Banner and Hibbert, offset by gaining Sharp also I assume.
I think South will be better than 2017, but it’s still a long road ahead with only 45 points to play with.
Where is banner off too now mate ?

Trial Games
Sunbury based RDFL club looking to play seniors, reserves and 18's trial games whether home or away on Saturday the 24th March.

Send a message if you are keen and interested to arrange.

Talking to some Lakers and Redan people over the break, both teams sound like they'll drop off quite a bit from last year. Lakers sound like they're really struggling to cover their loss of players.
Interesting story about EastPoint just hit the Courier website today, building a very young list with loads of potential. Just added Cam Lovig from Daylesford, MAtt and Jordan Johntson from North City/Rebels. Lucas Dalenberg from Nhill, Joel Ottavi from Essendon VFL, Jacob Brown from Hepburn (B.O.G in last years grand final). All of these would be under 21. Not sure about Dalenberg but the rest have been training with or playing VFL. On the face of it, if they pickup a couple of mature, quality players, they should be looking for a big improvement this year.

They've also won a lot of junior premierships over the last 5 or 6 years as well so a lot of those kids should be maturing and ready to step up. The big question mark with the recruits though is how many will actually be available if they get a spot on a VFL list

Saw them play a bit last year and reckon they already had the nucleus of a great young side. With these additions, if they aren’t playing VFL, they could jump up the ladder significantly.
2018 is going to be an interesting year, lots of improvement on the cards for a few sides that have not played finals for a while.

lynchy’s staying. Banner and Hibbert contracted, and 1pts sharp, Sullivan and Holzer return with couple others. And lost half of Fev.

Can anyone confirm Chris Graham signing with Springbank? If so that's a massive loss for Darley

Do you have anything good to say about Melton South mate?
I’ll say something good when I find it. They used to have a few good blokes there but they have moved on.
The ground is tiny and ordinary, as are the social rooms and change rooms.
It’s close to the Fleece snd Q Lounge so that’s a good thing I suppose.
They will play finals this year, so there you go, that’s something good.

No certainty either. Can probably expect steep improvement from Sebas & EP, maybe improvement from Melton & North, with Lakers & Redan possibly not as strong it will still be tight for spots. Sebas are coming from a long way back but they still had Sth covered last year

Yeah will be tight. My early thoughts are that Marsh and Darley are certainties to play finals, barring massive injury tolls. After that I think every other team has realistic chances to play finals, which you probably couldn’t say for the last 10 years or so.

Which game are you talking about the first one when we beat them by 80 plus points In the rain or the one when one of our team mates horrifically snapped he’s leg and we let one slip ?

Yeah mate I’m talking about the one where the bloke horifically snapped “he’s” leg. First player in the he’story of the sport to suffer a bad injury. Hopefully you blokes have been watching Wolverine movies or something over summer to get you used to some gruesome images so you don’t get all teary when a team mate goes down this year, just so you don’t let another one slip. Some etiquette lessons for dealing with emergency service personnel probably wouldn’t go astray either.
