Ben Jordan does not seem happy in the article posted about this. Not sure who would want to coach a team anyway when you know that the club really don't want you they want another guy. Great appointment by Sunbury, seems a little dirty the process though. Maybe Sunbury need that to return to their nasty glory days as at the moment they are not the club of choice in our immediate region like they once were. Will the comp change next year, same teams or will there be change?

Melton first team into the GF, 6 weeks ago they were not picked by many to play finals at all.
East a bit shaky in finals again, got lucky last week and beat today. Massive clash tomorrow, both sides would fancy their chances against East next week.
Darleys third quarter was spectacular. Graham, Kennedy and Grenfell were their best and Leonard did a good job of shutting down Young. North should of won with the amount of shots on goal they squandered and the amount of free kicks they got in good positions but were outplayed by Darley who made the most of their opportunities. Darley should beat East next week
You obviously didn't see the East Point v Melton game yesterdayIt’s a well known fact that the “ eastern block sides” have to be at least a 5 goal better side if they are playing a Ballarat side in finals to combat for the poor umpiring decisions

I would say to come back from 42 points down in a final is a fair effort, rather than being lucky. I still fancy East Point to win the flag and think they will account for Darley easily.Melton first team into the GF, 6 weeks ago they were not picked by many to play finals at all.

You don’t think Melton who were harder and better yesterday can beat your team again in two weeks, if you get past Darley?I would say to come back from 42 points down in a final is a fair effort, rather than being lucky. If you don’t think there is a biased from the umpires to the eastern block sides has never watched a game ive been involved in games with blatant cheating in a large majority of games it’s actualy a jokeIt’s a well known fact that the “ eastern block sides” have to be at least a 5 goal better side if they are playing a Ballarat side in finals to combat for the poor umpiring decisions

Melton were fantastic on Saturday and full credit to them. I feel though East Point overall are the better side and have several players like Ovatti who will not play that poorly again. You don’t think Melton who were harder and better yesterday can beat your team again in two weeks, if you get past Darley?
Biased to the East? I think you mean against the East. But I agree, today was so bad I hope those in yellow don’t get a game for the rest of the finals. Two teams busting their asses and played in good spirits and it was almost ruined. If you don’t think there is a biased from the umpires to the eastern block sides has never watched a game ive been involved in games with blatant cheating in a large majority of games it’s actualy a joke

Great win by the Bloods on Saturday, good to see Mark Orr play to his ability, has been a handy recruit since returning from Coburg. The club as a whole has done an incredible job, it shows what can happen when everyone is pulling in the same direction for the same cause! they must be licking their lips right now, with the pace of their young guns, they will be hard to stop GF day if the sun comes out in Ballarat for the first time!! Darley started the day with a late change due to a unexpected injury, McDonald who never played a senior game last year was the late inclusion & played his role ~to perfection & kicked a very good goal! At half time I thought Darley were playing below par & then came out in the 3rd & kicked 7 goals to 2, & then the umpires kept North in it in the last. No fault of North, however the umpires nearly got them across the line, this standard of umpiring was a disgrace to our game & I congratulate the large Darley crowd who clapped the umpires off the ground, no abuse, the clapping said it all. Brian Graham getting better with each game & Kennedy was great! The defence led by Leonard & Carrick were very solid & when Scotland went back, I thought he was directing play very well & setting up some good attacking forward entries . The one who is doing all the hard work at ground level is Luther Baker, he definitely flies under the radar with his hard ball gets. Harley Inglis was very good up forward & Dane Grenfell should be picked up by an AFL club as a goal kicking coach. Look forward to next week, should be a ripper! Is it a case of a champion team will beat a team of champions. Melton into a GF with 1 recruit really. If they can win it what an achievement that will be with only 1 player rated above 1 point. What has been the turnaround at that club? Is it the coach??
Well said, couldn't agree more.Always tough to win a GF no matter if your first into it or second. Great to hear Melton have made it and hope it sends a clear message to many clubs out there, INVEST IN YOUR KIDS. Like the marsh before them, Darley, plenty of locals in their team. For teams in the Ballarat League, they are not small country towns with limited junior numbers, this shows whether they win it or not you can be competitive if your prepared to build your club from the ground up. Well done to Melton, watched them a couple of times during the year, I am sure they have surprised themselves and supporters, but noone can say they don't deserve their place in the GF.
In that last H and A game, Darley had Reid out and both Scotland and Jake Edwards left the field in the 3rd qtr. Edwards maybe close to returning. Hopefully another great game coming up.Looking forward to this weeks matchup. I'm expecting East Point to respond but will be a great clash with a fired up Darley in a true 50/50 battle. Think the loss of number 46 for EP is a massive one and you could tell he was missed on the weekend.
I think when Darley beat them in the last round East had a few out, and they will be expecting those quality players to perform. Darley seem to be hitting form at the right time of the year. Grenfell looks like he has dropped a couple of KGs and has his zip back and with graham and Kennedy running wild they will test any side.
