7-2 after 9 rounds and another win on the weekend, this time over Richmond. Cousins led the team with 26 disposals, Matera kicked 5 and Haynes starred at FF with 4 goals and 18 disposal. Jones also had a strong outing in the midfield.

How it works - Position, Votes, Player, Last Week, This Week.

26. 1 - Adam Hunter ~~ 23-26

So after round 9 Gardiner continues to lead the award. He further stretches his lead on Fletcher after a strong outing against Richmond. His lead is now 158 votes over the dormant Chad Fletcher. Wirrpunda also had a solid outing and picked up enough votes to move up from 5th into 3rd. Chick didnt play through injury and Embley has a fairly quiet week after his unaminous BOG last week.

The big movers though were Cousins, Jones and Haynes. Rowan Jones almost doubled his tally and whilst not moving up any places on the leaderboard, he has closed up on the leaders and now looks set to make a challenge. Haynes with an almost BOG performance on the weekend has thrust him up the leaderboard, rising from 18th to 11th. Haynes becomes the 13th player to crack the century mark this year.

I think it is almost official, the sleeping giant has awoken. Cousins BOG performance garnered him 135 votes for the weekend and he moved up two spots from 9th to 7th. He closes the gap on leader Michael Gardiner and is in touching distance of a top 3 spot, just 67 votes behing 3rd placed Wirrpunda. It will be interesting to see if Cousins can repeat the dose against the Bombers. If so....well he could be looking to repeat.

Their are also 3 new entries this week. The highest new entry comes from Darren Glass as he debuts in 20th spot after a solid performance on Richardson. Michael Braun makes his long overdue debut. IMO he has been pretty solid all year and finally after 9 rounds he makes it onto the leaderboard. Jeremy Humm is the other new comer after a fantastic second half against the Tigers.

Definitely! I really think so too!!!

It will be interesting to see who wins it at the end of the year!!!!!

Gardiner and Wanganeen are equal second favourites behind Voss at the moment. Never know...

Yeah, If Gardi can keep his current form then he will have to be a contender but you never can tell!

Voss may be the bookies favourite but I think the football public would put Gardy as Fav for the time being.

I think this is our best chance this year for the Coasters to have a Brownlow medalist.
