I am so sick of watching Lions and North games, well infact any game where North and Sydney are playing and listening to Brucie Macavaney. He is the most openly and infuriating commentator I have ever heard, and whilst carey does do things good at times, there is no need for him to be constantly called the KING without other players nicknames being used aswell.
I am goin to be sending an email, to channel 7 about this, anyone who wants a copy to send or for me to send as an attachment let me know.GRRRRRRRRRRRR

I agree about the bias of the commentators. Bruce is pathetic. Also Ian Roberston appears to be watching other matches to what he is commentating on.A real dill.
Dont bother emailing Channel 7, they dont read any emails. I would write to them.

Glad I'm not the only one fed up with them. I'm also fed up with Seven's "rule" that practically every match telecast during the season has to feature a non-Vic team, esp Sydney. We miss some great matches because those berks seem to think we care more about non-Vic teams and want to watch them all the time. Screw Sydney - go Bombers!!

I hate Robbo. Coming strictly from a West Coast point of view, he is so biased toward the Victorian team. He insists on adding 'the young Victorian', before the names of our few non-WA players, but never points out the West Aussies playing for Victorian teams. It's only a small thing, but it really grates after a while.

And Drew Morphett. Any guy who actually points out his favorite players (just watch him, it's true. He'll often call a player, then add "he's a favorite of mine alright"), shouldn't be commentating.

Any commentators who rate Matthew Rich-ar-son, or carry on with the King Carey crap need to grab a brain too.

Just my opinion though!

Talking about biaised commentators I reckon Dennis Cometti would have to be leading the pack now that he is joined by 'Mainy' in the box and 'Barra' as the boundary rider. The other night's commentary against the Western Bulldogs was terrible......but then again, it probably had something to do with the way the Doggies were playing.

I think all this discussion proves is that bias is in the eye (ear?) of the beholder - non-Vic supporters accuse the Victorian commentators of bias and vice-versa.

I was amused watching the Collingwood-Freo telecast - Kevin Bartlett seemed to be almost insulted at having to comment on the Dockers. Mind you, they didn't do themselves any favours that night...
