Thought Lyon was fine, didn't bug me at all.

Jordan Lewis is good, he will clearly transition straight into one of those roles when he retires. Joel Selwood, not so much....
Yeah I thought he was ok, mind you I went in expecting to hear the current Collingwood president commentating the game so maybe I was just happy that didn't happen.

Lewis looks like a fairly tough bloke on the field, in the commentary box yesterday he looked like a web designer :D

I hate references to other sports, it makes the game seem like it doesn't have its own identity.

Unsurprisingly Dwayne Russell loves them.
He brought up one yesterday, not sure if it was intentional.. Houston from Port bombed it out of defensive 50. “There’s the Houston Rocket”. Cringeworthy at best

Couldn't agree more with this post.

Lewis was a complete natural. Didn't interfere with the game but added to it.

Selwood was wooden....

Was that the one right on the goal line?

If so I remember thinking Willie played it poorly. Had he gone at the footy he’d likely have taken the mark or won himself a free kick.

Apologies if this isn’t the one you’re referring to!
Pretty sure it would have been, he just seemed to get tackled when he didn't take possession of the ball. Surprised it wasn't even looked at.

Selwood kept pausing in the middle of sentences. Not sure if it was under instruction or because of all his concussions.

Not sure if bias, but the underreaction to Duggan's mark was astonishing. Should be a contender for mark of the week. Saved a certain goal.

Reaction from the commentators was like he took a chest mark.

Interesting to know about the school holiday situation possibly impacting the crowd size. That's the type of insight I'm looking for.

The problem I have with the commentary is that the whole game is commentated as if it's a book with Collingwood as the protagonist and the Eagles are their opponent for this specific chapter.

Also the reaction to Duggan's mark was a disgrace.

Ahaha the media should seriously stop playing the victim mentality with the airport incident.

As shown by simmo’s pre Game interviews, NN’s injury is very emotional. Last thing NN would have wanted was to be harassed by media after getting off a 5 hr flight at 11.pm.

West Coast like most clubs are actually very media friendly these days with player staff interviews every day and allowing shit campaigners like BT to roam the rooms. In fact Simmo didn’t have to talk to David King post game again but he did.

Any idea who the woman was that questioned Shuey on it? Bridget Lacy perhaps? Really digging for a story by asking players those types of questions.

She came at first gamer Oscar about Liam Ryan too. Give the kid a break, ffs. You just know any little slip up will become a media story line for the week ahead.

Thought the same thing. Collingwood player may have avoided front on contact in the marking contest, but when he landed he put his arms out to pull Rioli down with him.
