I liked the pregnant pause when Brownie says he's allowed to bend over and pick the footy up and Dunstall won't have it. Brownie didn't answer back and didn't have to, Dunstall had exposed himself as the campaigner he is.
Yeah I think JB had a crack at him later on in the game when Dunstall started chirping about something (the Shuey free kick I think), and JB said something like "so we're not calling that one a free kick either are we Jason?"

Brown still gets a black mark in my book after making a big deal about Naitanui's fatigue levels at three quarter time.
And then stunningly been proven incorrect.

Not sure what the problem is. People will see the free kick differently. shuey has been known to milk it and that's what happens. We do it with other players around the league.

But it was a free. Griffen charged in like a madman and didn't even bother to get down. He expect shuey to stand up and he didn't and dunstall let himself down and he knows it.

IF Leon Cameron wanted his young troops to get some pressure cooker experience prior to finals
THEN the game against the flat trackers may have been just what the doctor ordered

IF Einstein's law of averages proves one thing
THEN we knew they'd have to win against a top 8 side sooner or later

Actually thought of an even more irritating angle the prick could take.

IF
I was a conspiracy theorist
THEN
I'd be checking to see if Tom Shuey* left a brown paper bag in the umpires' rooms. Two big goals kicked from dubious free kicks in the final quarter.

That or he'll just rant about ducking, when will the AFL get serious about it, etc, etc.

*You know he'd get the name wrong.
I think he kicked it to Josh Darling at one point...

Just quietly reckon he will take the cheap opportunity to throw us some credit and do some faux-humility.

It'll give him something to point to next time he wants to legit call us flat trackers.

IF
Shuey didn't actually need to pick up the ball and could have chosen to soccer.
THEN
shouldn't it be play on because he was picking up in danger?

IF
The flat trackers can beat GWS at spotless
THEN
Spotless stadium's field mustn't have enough runoff.

Watched the Sunday Footy Show for the first time in about 2 years on the weekend. I quickly remembered why I stopped... Not a single WCE player in their All Australian team (despite Kennedy currently leading the Coleman medalm they had Lynch at FF), and Lloyd dribbling on about how he still doesn't rate us.

Circle-jerk of has-been or never-was players stroking their own egos.

Listening to kb on Sen this morning is the equivalent of watching Joffrey on game of thrones.
Some of his quotes,
"Mighty win by the cats"
"Eagles are overrated"
"Disappointing by Giants"

Slobbo has Nic in the likes and tried to put Shuey in the dislikes but then just went on a goo fest about his stats and how good of a game he had. Was quite confusing.

Waste of time, all of those shows.. On the Couch maybe an exception (haven't watched much of it this year with King on it though)... would rather waste my time on the WCE BF Podcast.. at least those guys are honest about how shit they are. :)

Dunstall is set in his ways. I really wish they would update some of the older commentators with new players out of the game - Frawley, Derm, Dunstall... I didn't understand the "Retro" round as we seem to have been surrounded by 80's players for the past 10 years anyway. I have to say, at least the AFL is more forward than the cricket in this regard.

The umpires came out and said the motion of leaning in and raising your arm was a free kick under current rules. Hopefully this changes for next season but as it stands, they are free kicks. JB calling out Dunstall was a breath of fresh air.

Yeh I found that quite strange too, read as a like much more than a dislike to me.

Anyway, the salty tears over Shuey are delicious...they truely are a bunch of blind hypocrites in Victoria.

David King irritated me with his persistent "Stevie" calls for a climax. Stevie had no impact all day. If he keeps this call up, he will eventually get it right but how many times will we have to listen to the wrong calls.
