A massive eat shit to the Fox footy commenter team. Last night you proved what an insipid ordinary bunch of so called football experts you are, your before the game analyst was horrendous just dribbling on about how Adelaide will win and win easily. Not bothering to think about how the Eagles much up really well with the Crows, the fact that they have only lost once since the bye, beaten 2 top sides in the last 2 weeks. Was just rubbish to listen to and makes me wonder why I both subscribing to this rubbish on Foxtel. Was a honour to watch all of you grovel in your own dribble trying to make an excuse as to why the crows were belted when the facts where laid in front of you before during and after the game, the Eagles are a lot better then any of you bell ends give them credit for. You clowns get paid a lot of money to do your research and provide expertise on football maybe it's time you started. Special shout out to Wayne Carey on channel 7 commentary when he said that "Sheed was one of our midfielders who struggled early in the year and has come right when it matters" maybe Wayne you should check his facts as well

Rant over

Yeah sheed struggled .......to Walk

He wasn't playing ...hello

Normally after games the AFL release a "game breaker" highlights of a player who ripped the game apart. This week they didn't and there were a few players who desrved that. barrass, gaff, jk and even priddis all dominated.
First Friday night game with no Victorian team in 11 years so they probably forgot it was played.

Yes I thought that was pretty funny - I guess he did 'struggle early in the year'. If they said that about a Rich or Coll or Ess player they would be seen as ignorant or unprofessional but with non-Vic sides ... who gives a toss?

But if the AFL wants to convert people in non-footy states they need to do something about this Vic-centred bias ... if a company has eight of its 18 franchises being badly treated by the media, and Head Office is silent ... oh well, just pump another few million in, she'll be right.

We get great coverage on Foxtel's On The Couch. Almost every week we get more than a token mention.

Gerard Healy practically has a boner for us, and Kingy & Browny are always happy to spend the time dissecting us - positively or negatively, depending on how we're travelling obviously.

Jason Dunstall can be a bit of a twat though - he struggles to embrace the Gov Love and thinks Steven May is better! o_O
Browny (also Dennis) is probably the fairest and most impartial of all the commentators across the game atm. His props to Glass on his 250, saying how he was the best backman of the era and super tough etc was great. Seems to to be pretty unbiased across the board, and talks about the footy mechanics of individuals and gameplans as opposed to engaging in mid game gossip and not-so-well hidden favouritism.

Dunstall is a complete bias Vic-centric knob, along with that unabashedly one-eyed Darcy, Hamish "Victoria for Victorian's" McLachlan , Dermott "yeah good, yeah just like that" Brereton, Alastair "Who cares who's who" Lynch and Mark "nah he's a good bloke, 1 week at the most" Risotto

Robbo picked Gov and Shuey in his AA side along with JK.

Making it hard to criticise him.
He has such a hard on for us this year. Don't remember him showing us that much love last year.

I think he nominated us as a flag fav during the off season and also likes to be the different media flog, so this year he choose us.

So Matthew Lloyd has brought in gov, shuey and Gaff into his AA side. I love Gaffy but he would be one of the luckiest mids to make into the side. This year the competition for midfield spots have been so high but despite his numbers, Gaff impact has been way down.
Must admit, Loyds cracking me up having a go at all the people in the 'press'

Shows how they don't do the research and only go by the games they watch (when they should watch all games). Very much see game give AA.

From this weeks "Nine things we learnt" - AFL Website

The Pies might have discovered how to beat Hawthorn
Hawthorn's defenders have been so good for so long at sagging off their opponents and flying in marking contests as the third-man up. But in the last two weeks that tactic has been severely nullified. West Coast did a brilliant job of isolating the Hawks' tall defenders, taking 18 contested marks to Hawthorn's two in their 25-point win in the west last week. The Magpies followed suit at the MCG on Sunday easily outpointing the Hawks in contested marks (12-5) despite losing the game. It is a trend first-up finals opponent Geelong will be tracking intently. With Tom Hawkins, Rhys Stanley, Zac Smith and even Harry Taylor all able to do damage in the air, the Cats will no doubt look to find ways to isolate their forwards in marking contests and make Hawthorn's defenders nervous.

So we did it first, but the Pies discovered it?

Go **** yourself.

Also ignores the fact Collingwood didn't actually beat hawthorn. Came close, but still lost

Lloyd had been unfeasibly hard on West Coast this year, wrote off the entire team within the first 5 rounds, showing actual disrespect to JK, Nic Nat and even Adam Simpson and completley refusing to acknowledge anything positive about WCE despite a double coleman, and the best month of footy from any team in the entire comp. He's been a real campaigner tbh, and I was quite enjoying him in the media until this year.
Must have got lessons from Garry Lyon when knocking the Eagles, can't think of two commentators/personalities who have more of relentless, unfair and unfounded crack in the last few years
