Just watched AFL 360 thinking surely our win against Adelaide would be right up there.
Wrong.
They talked about how Adelaide lost.
The Monday Encore segment where they show highlights from the round.
Matt Priddis getting a falcon was the only 'highlight' for us.
No mention of Tom Barrass reviving the RS nomination - finally.
Shouldn't really be surprised.

We get about 3 games on free to air TV here in Vic, doesn't leave us with many options unless we want to watch on a phone through AFL pass or something. :'(
Go to a pub. Including beers it still costs less. Was a waste of money for me, essentially for one game a week. The analysis shows were garbage, except for On The Couch. I felt like a beggar waiting for someone to drop a pitying 50c in the tin watching those shows hoping for any kind of meaningful, knowledgeable analysis and information about the Eagles.

But a sensationally good bloke put me onto another way to get my Eagles games and I'm on the couch drinking my own beers and don't have to worry about getting home from the pub.

F*** you Rupert.

Probably the best analogy of the Foxtel footy shows I have ever read.

If anyone knows of this sensationally good bloke I would appreciate a PM if possible. Fed up with Foxtel when I never watch anything on the other channels anyway.

I've been watching a lot of games this year through the AFL app on my Surface - decent size screen, plus free with my Telstra account.

It was blocked at beginning of the season, but one of the updates during the year allowed it to work.

Had the Freo game on the TV, whilst watching Hawks / Pies on the surface on the table in front of me - damn confusing for my family, they couldn't figure out which game I was yelling at

I've lost a bit of respect for Whateley this year. He seems to obsess over certain players/teams, and ignore the others including us here in the west.

I was expecting some kind of focus on Barrass, like they do every other week for every other rising star nominee. But especially this week because it helped us cause one of the most important upsets of the season.

Very disappointing. If they're going to highlight the negatives, they should bloody well highlight the positives.

Stick it up 'em, West Coast!

All the shows were a bit like that last night. I think now the season is over a lot of fans of teams that didn't make the 8 will be dropping off and especially with the bye week they're going to struggle for material, so it kind of makes sense for the media to spend a few days talking about the teams that are done and dusted and leave the serious stuff for later on.

I agree and was just about to point out the same thing but you had already beaten me to it. There's a lot of air time to fill over the next week and a half, and I expect the Eagles will get a decent share of it due to the way we've lifted in recent weeks.

^^ This is the sensational bloke I was talking about.

Apart for his penchant for starting threads pointing to the shitness of players, he goes ok. He talked me through the whole set up too. Because apparently I am technically challenged.

14-17 year old me would have loved this. Missed a lot of eagles games during that period when i moved to adelaide and had no fox. Ended up watch dodgy streams of the game.

Don't worry about AFL360 not talking about the Rising Star nomination this week, they never do on a Monday. There should be a little bit dedicated to Tom Barrass and his Rising Star nomination tonight.
