And we bounced back quickly from both of them, playing Finals within a year of two of being shit. Brisbane just continue being shit for long periods of time. Got to give props to their supporters for sticking around.

No one feels sorry for us if we have a shit year. They know it's just a temporary thing.

Yep. Not only have they not played Finals since 2009, they haven't finished higher than 12th. That's some horrible footy. I couldn't imagine following a team that has 8 straight seasons of not only missing the Finals, but missing them by a lot.

Also, don't forget their days as the bears.

People have sympathy for that. Not us for missing a couple of Finals in a row, before bouncing back up the ladder.

Some do, some don’t. I posted it because I found it humorous. I probably should have listed the reasons he gave for the slide prediction. Midfield (fair enough), Loss of experience, no home ground advantage, new dimensions etc etc.... (obviously he doesn’t know we now have Lathlain) and finally Kennedy’s injury. I’ve heard that last one come up a few times from the media in the east, the idiots must think he’s done for the season.

I don't particularly give weight to anything Hutchison says. It gave me a chuckle though because it showed that he hasn't analysed West Coast to any serious degree. There's no way in hell West Coast will be the second worst team in the competition.

check out the stats on world sport - ever y team has a home ground advantage - that is precisely why the comp is so biased towards melbourne based clubs who share a common ground. Even the cats get a raw deal.

I am truly envious of the supporters that travelled to this game. The usual Eagles 2017 script of getting out to a handy lead followed by 2 and a half quarters of slowly but surely being reeled in with our side seemingly incapable of arresting the slide. It was ****ing agonising watching us last year because of this. Then Emac's clever stop to get us to ET when all looked lost. Port surging in the first ET period and us coming back over the top and to win with a kick after the siren. It was a wild ride watching at home let alone how it must have been at the game.

It could be years before we are involved in such a dramatic game, let alone a final.
