But east freo are poo.

It's pretty difficult to win when most of your seniors are injured, plus our best young midfielder (Jayden Schofield) keeps getting suspended.

All we can do in times like this is remember the 29 premierships we've won.

While not related to the Eagles, I think this deserves a mention. Beutbrute Matera92 getgaff The_Reaper this should interest you.

After East Freo's loss to EP, John Townsend wrote this article, which was basically a defamation piece of the Sharks.

In response, EFFC President Mark Stewart wrote an open letter addressing the article's misconceptions. Credit to andana for initially posting it:

John, if you're going to write a smear piece, at least get the facts straight.

We're an easy target due to the league team being mired in struggle town for a while now, however as always we've a strong colts/junior program.

Not surprised John has no idea what he's talking about, it's standard fare for him.

East Fremantle are a historically powerful club. Unfortunately they haven't been as strong through the colts system over the last ten years and it's reflected in both their draft and league performances.

They rank 4th for players drafted over that period (29 Players drafted) behind South Freo 30, Swan Districts 32 and Claremont 43.

East Feo Colts performance and Colts Premiers/ runner up over the last 10 seasons.
2017 - 1st (Claremont 2nd)
2016 - 6th (Claremont 1st, East Perth 2nd)
2015 - 4th (Claremont 1st, Swan Districts 1st)
2014 - 8th (Swan Districts 1st, Claremont 2nd)
2013 - 6th (Claremont 1st, South Freo 2nd)
2012 - 2nd (South Fremantle 1st)
2011 - 6th (South Fremantle 1st, Claremont 2nd)
2010 - 1st (Peel 2nd)
2009 - 8th (Claremont 1st, Peel 2nd)
2008 - 5th (Swan Districts 1st, Perth 2nd)

To be fair, GWS probably had the better highlights. They just didn't do any of the grunt work.

Also, there were 10 West Coast highlights, and 10 GWS highlights (counted in my head, so may not be 100% right, but point is it wasn't one sided).

Not sure we should be getting that upset about that.

* I am assuming the highlights on the app are the same as the afl.com website.

This thread is more fun if you think of it like a prediction thread.

Surely Garry Lyon and Damo Barrett will highlight on Monday all the players GWS had out, and that they lost 3 players during the game (one came back on, so really he wasn't lost).

Haven't had a look but they usually don't show set shot goals. The just show the mark that led to a goal. Might be a contributor. Stupid Darling. :p

I just counted highlights for us and highlights for them, whether or not it led to a goal.

Didn't count injury highlights.

I'd suggest we're already there
Oh definitely, but I was more reffering to the AFL website itself. As the AFL expands it's media pressence, there just becomes a larger and larger incentive for their own staff, to argue in favour of dubious MRO charges that will probably lead to challenges, just for the entertainment/news coverage.

Tribunal day is becoming a media event. That's a concern. Can't be far away from live streamed video.
