Hi All,

A thread to discuss opportunities on this season's Big Bash.

I have started crunching numbers and there could be a few opportunities on the futures markets. The various books are also showing a bit of discrepancy with a week to go.

Two options I think are overs:

Ben McDermott tournament high bat @ $29 (ladbrokes). Given his brief showing last year I thought he would be in the low 20s, assuming he gets to the crease enough. He's 2nd fave as team high bat curiously.

Aaron Finch tournament high bat @ $21 (ladbrokes). 2nd last year I believe. 160SR & loves finding the boundary, so even a short stay can be lucrative. Was expecting him to be in the top 4 faves. Also paying $6 for team high bat at Crown which is interesting.

As for the first game, I put Sixers as favourites (without knowing exact lineups) and Ladbrokes have them evens. So...

1u Sixers (v Thunder) @ $1.90 (ladbrokes)

Finch is $34 at toppy fwiw, they will at least let you log in.

He was 2nd last year but didn't get picked for Australia, averages 50 for Aussies in 2017 and most likely is picked for the England games so will miss probably 4 matches, its big if he doesn't get picked but that most likely means he hasn't made any runs.

Sixers a good bet

Yes I did think that. I don't think he's a shoe-in though. He's only made over 21 twice in the last 2 years. Could be a risk though.

Couple of other promos not mentioned;

Crown - Place a Top Runscorer bet on any Big Bash League match this December and if your player does not top score for their team, but does score 30+ runs, you'll get your stake back as a Bonus Bet up to $50.

Crown 6s one sounds good. Which is the smallest ground? Need to look up where the most 6s are hit...

Hmmm interesting. Not as tasty as it looks then.

Enjoyed the 365 promo last year, lets hope Chris Lynn gets going again this year!

Palmerbet have score 160+ and lose - up to $100 as a bonus bet. Does anyone know if they honour the excluded states (SA & WA)?

Wasn't able to watch it, but 15 off the last over? 3 boundaries? Doesn't sound like good death bowling.

Does anyone know if UBET altered their offer? I could have sworn that there was no cap on the bonus bet runs earlier in the day. The first banner makes no mention of it ("You'll receive bonus bets to match the chosen daily player's runs!"), and there's no mention of a $25 max cap in their T&C's underneath it.

However, it does make an appearance it their 2nd banner...."match a chosen daily player's runs up to $25"...

I'm wondering if this was added later on because I don't remember seeing it earlier in the day, but I may have just missed it.

The only thing that kept the Sixers in it was two of the worst T20 batting displays you'd see from Patterson and Griffen - if either of them go at even a run a ball the Thunder wouldn't have even needed the last two overs
