Kumar Sangakkara - Hobart Hurricanes

Form is temporary, class is permanent. It's not too often where you have the ability to pick one of the greatest batsmen of all time to round out your playing XI, but his recent drop in form in the Big Bash has led to many to be wary of his pick. Brings a wealth of experience to the team which should be called the Experienced XI, with a number of players who could ably hold the title as team captain. Sangakkara - the second international signing of the Experienced XI, will slot in perfectly at number four where he can play an accelerating innings after strong starts from the explosive top order, or in the unlikely event of a few untimely early wickets he can consolidate and get the team to a competitive total.

Man, some ordinary bowlers taken before this bloke. Boland, I'm looking at you!

I've really enjoyed his work in the Big Bash over the past few seasons - he's gone from somebody I didn't think suited the format to a very good Powerplay bowler with the new pill. I doubt he'll get a game in my side ahead of Hazlewood and Paris with the shiny new pill but he's not going to be matched in terms of a back-up seamer.

Don't really have anybody left that I want haha. Oh well, they won't be playing anyway. For my back-up, and to round out my squad, I'll take...

SEB GOTCH

He really impressed me last night with his keeping, not to mention his ability to rotate the strike while the Stars were under pressure. There are one or two more experienced batsmen left but I don't rate them very highly at all.

Averages 30 odd at close to 8 an over with the ball.
He was good at the Stars, he'd reclaim that form in Man Feelings.

Primarily a net bowler, mind, as I rate Paris very highly in all forms.
