Big Bash Fantasy; Round 5

Hey lads, I want to have a crack at the weekly $500 don't really care about league/overall (I'm ranked 288 ATM so out of the running for overall) I was thinking of benching my Stars & Sixers who play tonight (Maddinson, Wright & Lee) if they fail I trade in Scorchers (Voges, ? & Hogg/Tye) but if they score well, I trade out Reardon & Christian for Thunder players who have the bye. (Huss, Kallis, ? )

This is my team Pre-trades... thoughts?

My top 3 was Klinger, Dorff and Hogg.

Klinger would hopefully go big in at least one innings, Behrendorff should get back to bowling well after an off game, Hogg as a bit of a point of difference, which could pay off but could go horribly wrong.

Yep, think that's your best approach to go for the weekly. Supposing Lee dominates, perhaps you could do Duffield>Dixon/Paris? Not sure who you could trade in if Wright fails, Turner is about the only ALR they have (I'm assuming Agar won't be available for their first game this round at least).

I could do Duffield > Hogg or Tye

If Wright fails I would just leave Turner & Christian as my starting allrounders (Agar is unavailable, unfortunately) if Wright kicks arse though, I will trade Christian > Kallis for the E lopphole

Point gaps get bigger at the top though, big jumps are much less likely.

Why is Hussey picked? Pretty sure he's been in one of these before. I'd prefer they blooded some young talent, not Huss.

Oh, he'll be on the field. Looking at going Maddinson to M.Harris. Not yet convinced on my final 2 trades,

Alright. Was wondering why you didn't have him.

I agree, go Maddinson>Harris. Harris is a very good T20 batter and is opening. He could get away quick and get 30 (20) one innings and the next innings he could anchor the innings and get 70 (50). Heaps of points there. Maddinson has lost his touch, and isn't mature enough at the crease

and If I win the "weekly" I'll probably go from top 288 to top 28 ....I'll still be out of the running for Overall with so many Scorchers though.

But now there's something nagging in the back of my mind about Boyce. He's not one of the players leaving the comp I hope.

Smokey for the World Cup squad but unlikely I'd say. Should be fine. Hales on the other hand, I'm not sure that he'll be around for both games next round?
