Nielsen is a very good keeper and worth his spot in the Shield team when Carey is missing but cannot get the ball off the square in T20s

I'd chose Harvey. Nielsen riding off od Dad's coat tails.

Its a bit odd, but at the same time he hasnt performed that well in recent seasons

He had a solid T20 blast in England, which is not an amazing standard but equally is not the wilderness either. Average 42 with 5 50s.

And was playing in the newish Nepalese Premier League earlier this month. Which doesn't have List A status, but seems alright and gets great crowds because Nepal loves cricket.

He didn't set the world on fire there, but it seems nobody did and he was 4th highest run scorer. Notably he did about as well as Chris Lynn did. (Though, also notably the 5th highest run scorer was Mark Watt, who is a bowler whose highest list a T20 score is 30*)

I wouldn't be kicking down doors to sign him. But I'm surprised he didn't end up on a list at some team given he doesn't use up an import slot.

I think it's just another Ben Dunk type case, where hes seen both sides of lazy and unprofessional T20 recruiting. Got overhyped early in his career, while later actual good form is ignored.

I noticed the Adelaide Oval straight boundaries are roped in the same distance as everywhere else tonight.

This is the sort of thing I've wanted for years. In T20 You don't need to have the rules and tiny grounds designed to make 450+ run 50 over games, batters will attack anyway.

Was over years ago, but he is a protected by his Dad. Should not play any short form game. There are plenty of keeper who can bat.

He might be done bowling. But he'd also be the fourth choice spinner and 8th choice bowler in this line up
