We got the win so mostly positive. I thought we bowled well and Short on the whole got the bowling changes right. The Heat struggled to middle too many until the later part of the innings. We do have a good pace bowling attack with some variety.

Harvey seemed to handle the gloves well.

Great batting from Lynn. Short should be dissappinted with the shot that got him out as it was a bit of a nothung stroke.

All in all a good win.

Need to stick with that team

Thornton on standby for a bowler
Ross for a batter

No other players

Totally agree. I do think there might be scope to swap Ross for Manenti but based on current form Manenti holds his spot.

Boyce, Kelly, Buckingham and Straker are not really in the frame for selection.

We're on again tomorrow night. Interesting that we've played on Boxing Day and now Day 1 of the Sydney Pink Test.

I guess they figure that the only thing that can top the two biggest events on the cricket calendar is the Strikers, and they're right.

Hassan Ali out
Tabraiz Shamsi comes in
No Nielsen

Who's that I hear you ask?

Harry Nielsen, SA wicket keeper. Left hand bat.

Oh... the other guy. Left arm orthodox spinner from South Africa. T20 journeyman

My team, batting order can change. Including part timers we have five pace and three spinners.

Short (spin)
Lynn
Harvey
Scott (pace)
Sangha
Overton (pace)
Wadia (spin)
Manenti (pace)
Wood (pace)
Thornton (pace)
Shamsi (spin)

12 Pope - I would keep playing him but I think it makes us too spin heavy. Could be swapped for Manenti.

13 Ross

Not Picked - Straker, Buckingham, Boyce, Nielsen, Kelly

Not available - Ali, Carey, Head
