I believe he's been good all year.

He's improved every week, and obviously having Ottens beside him has helped (as it would with anyone).

No objectivity, either.

I dont agree with you about earlier in the year.

I thought he was rubbish to be honest and that Trent West was unlucky to be dropped instead of Blake.

Big Blakey however has turned his season around in the past couple of months and deserves his place in the team.

I reckon he's going great. And about bloody time. I've been on his bandwagon for a long time now, and have put up with enough ridicule from my mates.

His tapwork is first rate (and underrated), but its good to see he's actually learning to use the ball.

Well done Blakey!!!

Put yourself in his shoes.
Was dropped for the Grand Final for a player who had only played something like six games for the year(yes it was the right decision) .

Imagine how hard that would of been for him.

He went away and trained his ass off over the pre-season.

Came back more determined to do better.

Last night was a massive step for him.

Well done Mark.:thumbsu:

Good to see a few of his critics admit they may have been a little hasty with the criticism of Blakey.

Thumbs down to forrrest who continues to play the same boring tune.
apologies for having an opinion

he has not taken brownlow votes in any of the games he has played this year, and i think that sums it up

Haha

You have the innate ability to conjure up the most bizarre of arguments in a vain attempt to avoid having to admit you're wrong.

BTW Any chance you'll let us know how many votes Jimmy has so far? I'd like to make a quid, that's all.

Haha

Not only do you have the innate ability to conjure up the most bizarre of arguments in a vain attempt to avoid having to admit you're wrong, but you're also able to predict the future.

Bravo.

whatever
name the game that blake played well, and not average game

he is a good average player

i am never wrong, it is only others who fail to see reality

but i am sure the blake will have zero votes after round 22, having played 22 games, with the cats winning all but 1 game

move on, the blake fan club is in

When there is a clear bias against him with no sign of rational discussion then that's when I have a problem.

Ridiculous argument. Matthew Scarlett barely polls a vote either. Since when does the amount of Brownlow votes have anything to do with a players influence?

No one on here would expect him to or care if he never polled a vote. They are just happy with the progress he continues to make and the increased contribution to the team's performance.

But you just can't accept this and refuse to acknowledge the improvement he's made over the course of the year.

Can you give us the results for the next 3 weeks and finals results, plus every goalkicker ?

Dean Cox was All Australian ruckman last year and only polled three votes.

I would say he is probably the best of the second string ruckmen going around right now. He is probably better than a number of the first string ruckmen too. Pretty much ahead of schedule in terms of development.

thanks, as it should be pretty simple

there is no bias towards him. i have stated that he is a good second ruck, but has been found wanting when he is first ruck. he looked out of place till otto came back, and then has just been a contributor. he has not had one awesome game, or stood up and provided a presence.

happy to pay the compliments when deserved, happy to be objective when required.

Hahaha Mark Blake polled more Brownlow votes last year than Steven King forrest, surely it justifies the clubs decision.

Ban this goose mods. Blatant liar and troll.

Blake will be named in the Cats GF team and will be a VERY important cog in flag 2008 (yes I've got everything crossed), so get on board and support him folks.

jester can you quote accurately or sook off elsewhere, i mentioned brownlow votes this year and blake

King, Gardiner, Lade, Jeff White, Brogan, Minson, Hudson, Spider, just off the top of my head. Some of those you might consider second string, so be it.

I note that the Blake/Corey duo is something like 5th in the competition for clearances (20), 5 behind Hille/Watson.
