The improvement in Mason's few games has been a relation. If he can pass White later in the season, that could be the boost to our forward line that could propel us into the top six.

I believe by the end of 2016 our tall forward set up will be Cloke Moore Cox with Grundy in the ruck swapping with Cox.

Can't wait till Bruce to ruins it for us all. "This is gonna be a beauty. I'm interested to see whether they'll put two men or just one on that huge 7ft Cox"

"Rioli!!! Ohhhhhhhhhhh.... he was on top of Cox for what seemed like an eternity. This is what dreams are made of... "

"Penis!!!"

Gee, I think it is way too soon to make an assessment on Cox.

Speed and skills are not up to AFL level and still has a lot to learn about the game before I would think about promoting him.
Because he's super big, he gets a closer look in. That height of almost 7 feet in the old carries him a long way. The rest he'll have to go and earn.
That's one area where giants gave a super advantage, their height gives them a leg up for ruck work. It's not everything but it's one great advantage.
Conversely jockeys require lots of great skill, abilities before they are even considered for footy at the elite level.
People may remember one of our juniors about twenty years ago, Fabian Careli, gee he was small but a real talent. Height probably knocked him out of consideration. That's how it goes

The biggest challenge for him is learning to read the play.
Plenty of players who have played the game for their entire life still don't read the play like the naturally gifted do.
Because of this challenge I really cannot see him making a career out of AFL football.
I wish him the best, but Premierships are not built on new to the game athletes.

Jim Stynes would say hello.

At the end, it's his challenge, maybe he gets there maybe not.
Because he so tall, he has that one major advantage of specialty.
But like every player, he will he have to go and earn it.

No way would I compare Cox to Stynes or even Pyke.
Stynes especially, Gaelic football is,not too far apart. Don't know Pykes background though and it took him a few years to reach AFL level.

Pyke played international rugby for Canada

The point was an he's an international player that didn't grow up with AFL footy but made the grade and won a premiership.
So a Chinese table tennis player can be included? Please.
The point was that he was being compared to Stynes and Pyke.
There maybe some that didn't make. I think we may have had one?

I like Mason's chances of going past White.

I'd be willing from round one to play Cox ahead of White. He'll put in the work over the Summer and continue his rapid improvement. And both through the ruck and up forward, there are enough signs that I'd be willing to give him games at the appropriate time.
