England would be favourites to progress with NZ now right ?

We'd have to make up an awful lot on NRR against Afghanistan, whilst hope that there is either an upset (NZ vs Ireland, England vs Sri Lanka) or a tight game.
We can't catch NZ on NRR, we'd need to beat Afghanistan by at least 70 runs more than the Poms beat SL. Either NZ or England having a washout would see us through with a win too

Letting Ireland get so many after being 5/25 was really poor from us last night. NRR hurt big time.

Missing the semis in a home tournament would be an epic fail.
Didn't go hard enough with the bat either, really shouldve pushed to try get 200+

If it was the Aussies claiming that catch the Kiwis took the cricket media would be frothing

Adelaide weather Friday (NZ vs Ireland, followed by us vs AFG)

I'd say we are purely relying on an upset.

The really annoying part is knowing they could have been 0/100 at the same stage and we'd have bowled the exact same bowlers in the exact same order. We do not adjust to the game situation.

I think you might've jinxed us Dazz.
That's not a jinx.

A jinx would be me saying something like Cartwright and Fanning have steadied the ship after a wobbly start and are looking the goods to get us into a secure position for victory.

But I wouldn't be that silly.

So we're all Ireland / Sri Lanka fans for the rest of the week?

I think I'd prefer to see the T20 side go down in flames so they stop doing the same thing over and over.
