Perth gonna have no chance at any marquee once Gabba gets work done on it tootbh there isn't really a great time to play there. Its a rubbish stadium (at least it was when I was there circa 2014ish).
Its amazing how 10+ years ago the big cricket matches (NY Test, Boxing Test, Tri-Series finals) were all played at Sydney and Melbourne because they had the two biggest stadiums (same as the four neutral tri series matches usually being palmed to Perth/Adelaide/Bris/Hobart).
Fast forward to 2023. Adelaide Oval and Perth Stadium are far superior venues, larger capacities, more modern. Still can't get a look in for preferred dates (AO in fairness did get Pakistan vs India 2015 WC as well as a semi-final for the World T20).

It's OK, we can re-name the WACA the Zimbabwe/Bangladesh Away Oval in summer.
I was expecting our batting to get a big test.I dont think Ive ever been so disappointed in an oppo team such as this Sth African team
Was expecting a great series
I can't quite tell whether their bowling just hasn't been as good as everyone thought, or if our batsmen have just been outstanding.I was expecting our batting to get a big test.
I didn't realise how poor their batsmen were

Not a bad idea but I think Aus should just withdraw from Test cricket as its a dying format, and all other International cricket with it, and the Sheffield Shield can then resume its rightful place as the main cricket competition in Australia and run all through summerJust give the warriors international status. This team would trouble most sides

Bit of depth going around too
Do they play any T20I's before next summer? Surely it all be ODIs before the WC.Greatest BBL innings by a player and team there. How long before Short becomes an Australian cricketer?
For a comp supposedly noone cares about anymore it's still super entertaining viewing
8 T20's planned in the back end of the year. Good option to replace Finch.Do they play any T20I's before next summer? Surely it all be ODIs before the WC.
