I’m not sure whose call it was to have Marnus come on when he did - for me it smacked of a hell of a lot of arrogance to bring him on so early. Just seemed to feel like let’s call up a test star with a known ‘name’ and have it automatically bring on a wicket!

Instead it helped establish a great foundation to another Scorchers win!!

I’m not sure whose call it was to have Marnus come on when he did - for me it smacked of a hell of a lot of arrogance to bring him on so early. Just seemed to feel like let’s call up a test star with a known ‘name’ and have it automatically bring on a wicket!

I think they were probably hoping the Scorchers would have to bat conservatively given the lost early wickets, and they could get a cheap over out of a part timer. Problem was he kept serving up pies, and any middle order batter in good form is going to cash in.
