I would love to say that surely you don't take him over unless you plan on playing him but we probably are silly enough to do that.

As much as women's cricket is one of the most competitive women's sports in the world you'll get better quality out of a decent grade side and can support your local community.

I owe my career to girl's cricket, coaching a side my sister started at her school. It's stupid to compare men's and women's cricket. I treat them as separate games entirely. The obvious limitations lead to vastly different approaches to coaching and gameplan, from focusing on swing and seam instead of pace, different fielding positions and running between the wickets becoming very important.

People don't have to be into women's sports, but I don't understand the snipes tbh. For example, breaking news - it is entirely possible to support BOTH the women's game and your local club/community.

I only saw the highlights, but the standard of the batting looked quality. And on a side note, India is gonna be a powerhouse before too long.

There was some good cricket played.
Good batting. Some big hits that actually cleared the real fence, which was impressive.
Some excellent catching (some not so good, a lot down to the pressure of the situation)

Let's be honest here. The mens game has been full time professional for around 50 years. The women's game is starting from a low base in both professionalism and participation. But it's growing at a phenomenal rate. And there's some really good cricket being played at the top level.

If you don't like it, treat it like rugby league and don't watch it. But for me, credit where credit's due. Comparing where the female game is now to a decade ago... wow.

I was more referring to the fact that the Aus Women’s team is likeable and fairly drama free.

Exciting? Yes

Insanely incompetent? Also yes*

* Being run out at the non strikers end off a deflection is also very unlucky to be fair

The same type of comments from the same people. Those who are frightened of diversity and equality.
I’m so proud of our national cricket teams especially the women’s team who have been trailblazers in the sport for decades and are constantly redefining the way the game is played whilst doing so in the best manner as the best role models to the next gen.

Absolutely brainless batting aside from the runout deflection at the non-striker's end.
