Well done we reached 200 and still batting, therefore depriving the Vics of a bowling bonus point.

Another 50 - 60 runs in the context of this game would be terrific.

For those in the know- how do the batting bonus points work ?

You get 0.01 for every run above 200 in the first 100 overs.

Batting points are irrelevant now, we've got more than the Vics are able to get. They were irrelevant once we rolled them under 200, as the worst possible outcome for us would have been 1 bonus point apiece.

We are currently on 1.14, the most Victoria can get is 1.

For sure. Boland looked really dangerous and the other bowlers definitely bowled some wicket taking deliveries without luck.

Hopefully we can bowl the right areas when it's our turn again.

Gonna be a tough road for the Vics from here. They have to score 250+ for a realistic target to bowl at, then they would have to bowl out WA pretty quickly and cheaply after putting a whole lot of overs into each of their quicks in the first innings.

Very good recovery from that precipitous position.

Having a lead of 100 or more after the first innings gives the leading team a 70% chance of victory. Given the bonus point rules, it's probably even higher.
