The one thing Mitch has going for him in England is his bowling. He pitches it up and looks to move it.

But it's still a pretty poor selection.

Honestly I think he's just there as Green's cover and for morale in the dressing rooms. All his team mates seem to like him.

So they chose Morris for India and made him miss months out of shield cricket and now over look him for the Ashes where he is way more suited to the conditions.

Morris was not considered due to back injury.

Bloke's been in decent nick, not a bad selection at all. He's 30 now, knows his game inside out, if he gets a game at some point he'll do well.

I suggested a while back that Mitch Marsh would be a handy backup all-rounder Ashes selection for his bowling, which is suited to English conditions. At least the selectors got that one right.

Very happy for him... I reckon he's been criminally underrated as a white ball bowler for a while now, and it's good that he's finally getting a chance to show what he can do, even if it's because Archer and Bumrah are injured.

Sri Lanka building a highway against Ireland is one of the stupidest things ever and in terms of getting an easy win and easy point in the WTC it might back fire on em. Good on the Irish getting the runs they did tho.

Funnily enough Sri Lankan opener scored his maiden 100 which is a double hundred and I doubt he’d ever best that or even score another test 100
