Just thinking the same. I think you need to back your bowling attack in it is world class attack. Around 400 should be enough, if the poms chase down 400 on day 5 then all you can do is admire a brilliant run chase.

Agree balls faced in this game will almost be as valuable as runs scored.

He is and always has been a very nervous scratchy starter, if he survives the initial onslaught them he generally has a good innings.

We need another 120 runs and then we have an excellent chance, getting those runs won't be easy, but we need that many with out Lyon bowling.

If we go 2 up after this game ...... the Ashes are as good as ours for the keeping, guaranteed to get at least one game thats weather influenced in a negative way.
