How many overs is that likely to be

We will probably go into save the match mode I assume ?
You're meant to bowl 90 overs in a six hour day. 15 per hour.
However, it normally takes more time than that.
I think that realistically it will be about 40 overs in the 3 hours but could be more if the umpires restrict fast bowling due light.

Edit - someone can type faster than me. Good to see we are in agreement, even down to the light impact.

English over rate will increase/decrease in line with how many wickets they’ve taken

It’s the spirit of cricket

This is the more fun result you have to admit. Rain cocked them a series win last test. Looking forward to Piers Morgan's tweets tomorrow morning.

sure it's fun for the salt. but at the end of the day, we've been outplayed in 3 tests. our self appointed worlds best pace attack has been shithouse, Mitch Marsh has forced our great all-rounder hope out of the side and our top order has struggled.

oh yeah, our coaching team have been ****ing atrocious too.

Would we have taken 2-2 before the series started?
I know I would've.

I think after winning the first 2 tests, people thought we would just steamroll our way through it.

There's not much between the sides TBH.
It's bloody hard to win an Ashes series away.
Just ask England.

Sure the Poms outplayed us in the last couple of tests.
We haven't had a lot of luck though.
Even the change of balls in this one was terrible.

Lost 4 out of 5 tosses and lost Lyon.

Would've been nice to win the series but retaing the Ashes is still a good result.

That and the WTC make it a pretty good 2 or 3 months.

Really need to get some young blood in soon though.

Can’t help but think that the next Ashes Series on Australian soil is going to be ugly with some very unsavoury and aggressive crowd behaviour.
The crowd sledging I suspect will be raised a notch or two.
The Pommy crowds stooped to a new low and I think we will do likewise.
I mean even to Hurrah Hyphenated-Harry’s in the long room threw sledges never heard before.
It even bought some degree of shame and foreboding to those silver tails who wear the Egg and Bacon Blazers.

Poms will have a decent chance of winning back The Ashes if the two tactical muppets, McDonald and Cummins are still calling the shots.

What a pair of total tactical fu(wits they have been this tour, bleeding runs and head scratching field placements.
No point picking all rounders because Cummins underbowls them.
As CEO of the Fast Bowlers Union he won’t share the load adequately, and as we all know sometimes the part time bowlers are the ones that snag the breakthrough.
Cummins use of Marsh, Green and Murphy needs to be questioned when the tour review is conducted.

But has George Bailey and Co got the balls to do an extensive forensic review of what actually went wrong on the tour?????

Happy to have retained The Ashes but I can’t be help feel that we totally shat the bed at key moments and played conservatively into their hands.
The series had many moments, post the second test, where it looked like we were just going through the motions.

As for Warner thanks for your service but now it’s time to exit the game on an International level.

Oh and please selectors PLEASE blood some young openers in preparation for the next Ashes assault on home soil.
